I have a few elderberry bushes/trees and decided to see how clonable they are. For a test I took cuttings and just left them in water for 2 weeks then changed water and added Mykos WP. Its been 22 days just sitting in water and this is what they've done.

Had a fire on my property line, the neighbor was grinding something & caught the grass & fence on fire. Everything in that corner of the yard burned & died. After the fire trucks left I found a single 3 inch piece of ice plant that used to keep the hillside from eroding away right there. Put it in a pot & just water when I think about it & it's now about two square feet. I'm trying to motivate it to spread to new pots so I can cover the little hillside again before the rain this year.

Thats bad ass man. I was going to be doing a similar thing. As soon as I get the current clones out of the aero cloner I was going to be bringing it out of the grow to use upstairs. My daughter B and I will then be cloning a bunch of things. lol.
About a month ago now we mixed up all the planters soil, some new additional soil, compost, and ammended it all. About 200 gallons of soil at least. lol. All for the planters and pots we'll be growing stuff in this summer. Next weekend is our planting time, anything sooner than mothers day here outdoors is risky.

I did similar with a rose bush last summer.
I did an addition on the house a few years back and the rose bush was a casualty from the dig. Well last spring I found a tiny rosebush coming up next to the foundation where they'd backfilled and tamped the dirt back in. Went to go and transplant it into a pot, and I found it was coming out of a foot sized pc of root from the original rosebush. Took it 2 years to come back from destruction. lol. Had is coming back and doing really well as of last fall.
Then tragedy. Lmfao.
New dog, Blue, is a digger butt head dog. She dug it up out of the planter and chewed it into mulch. lol.
So the awesome find, and sweet save was just for growing dog toys I guess. lmfao
Stupid dog. rofl
She seems to think the planters are for her to dig in. lol

Black berries too & lots of fruits on em this year! These just randomly popped up one year after some crazy rains. Still kinda learning how to manage them but I'm hoping one day they take over the whole southern fence line. Thorny as hell, but the berries are dank ?

Kaffir lime tree's. The big one is ~4yrs old now, one of my first clones. The leaves are used alot in SE Asian cuisine (ol ladies specialty) and can be hard to find fresh..

We received a clone from my wife's ex MIL over 10 yrs ago who was raised in Cambodia ..mother plant is about 6-7ft tall now, survived a plethora of different pests, she a beast, and is the mother of about 300 clones so far lol

I’ve been wondering about cloning some Russian Olive hedge bush.
It’s almost invasive, very fast grower.
Any idea what the criteria for good candidates?
You’ve made me seriously consider it.

So I got these barrel cacti from my grandparents, they were redoing the front yard & had thrown them in the trash. I liked them before they pulled em out, they were big & looked pretty old so I took them & planted them in my yard just because... They are getting ready to flower so I've looked into them a little more & today just kinda scootin along on the internet I came across some that were a little smaller than mine in size... for $300-$500 each! Had no idea my grandparents had just thrown away over $1000 in three cacti. I havent told them yet but wanted to throw this out there for anyone else who comes across what might be a more valuable plant than you think!
