Jacks 321

Excellent info on the Jacks program @Gweedo's Growroom . I’ve been playing around with it as well and I agree that at their recommended 3.6/2.4/1.2 co2 would definitely be recommended. The straight 3-2-1 is a sweet spot for me with no issues. Good call on raising temps to cure the cal/mag deficiency as well. ??

Hey all, Glad I stopped by today, been using 321 and used the 2-2-2-1.2 Garden Boost prior to that in the last week of veg & the first two weeks of 12/12.

Using Jack's str8 321 now but I'm really interested in this 4-2-.05/.075 for the extra K but leaning towards using that after using Hammerhead 9/18 for one week of week 5/6 to help really put on the weight late in flower.

Currently using:
Jack's @ 321
1/8 teas Kelp it Real
.5ml Mr. Fulvic
.4ml Drip Clean

EC 1.8, pH 5.9

Coco/perlite 2 gal pots, 70/30 mix
Drain to waste
Currently doing 6 shots per light cycle

Bloom Nutes - DIY Hammerhead 9/18 @ 3.75ml/gal when used at 1/2 strength

Any opinion on using the 4-2-.5 after the week's worth of Bloom around week 6/7 for a week or so...Strains are 9/10 weeker's.

I'd say try the 4-2-.5 the jacks part A at 4 should have all the p and k she can take, maybe try them both out on 1 plant and see how she does, I run bennies pretty hard as well and i know that can greatly effect how much the gals can take.. I'm in the same setup you are 70/30 coco perlite ph 5.8 but I water 1 time a day and adjust how much based off how much dry back I'm seeing, it may load the soil for a few days but healthy ladies and some microbes should utilize it id imagine, strain dependant of course lol sounds like a fun project to me

Thanks for your reply

After running a few numbers I am definately going to run this 4-2-.5. I can make the numbers comparable using the Hammerhead bloom as well. I have a couple smaller plants in a little tent that I will use the bloom on when they're ready as a mini comparison.

I'm new to HydroBuddy not long ago, what a excellent tool. It really showed me how much the bottle was telling me to overfeed even at 1/2 strength so I cut that in 1/2 again. Here's a screenshot of the numbers of str8 321, 321 + Hammerhead, 321 4-2-.5 & .75 per latest vid. Maybe someone will find the numbers useful.

I guess I'll have to follow Gene more closely as didn't know about this formula or maybe I should check Instagram more often as he posts there alot I guess.

Hello, fairly new to PH. I am at day 64 on my current grow of usefuls DDS. I have used jacks @ 3g 2g 1.2g since I started feeding in veg. Tribus once a week. Growing in FF happy frog/ Ocean forest mix. Have any of you used jacks Finish? I have access to a sample , but dont know if its beneficial or not? I will make the effort to grab it , if it makes a difference. Appreciate you all. Peace

I have a couple of times. I’ve got some been on water a few days. Jack’s recommend a week flush, they have been right so far. I had been running just 321 for a quite awhile, so differences should be obvious?

I have been trying the Bloom, I do believe that it make a difference! I run small shoes, auto water, so things happen fast.
It’s hard to say how much the Bloom and Finish helps, because I’m running them under a HLG Diablo board and a HLG UVA30 for the first time. Lots of variable, all looking good though.
After your post the other day, I had to bust out some DDS! :stoned:

I love jacks to death but I do feel as though the finish and bloom are kinda just for those people that want a choice to do something extra, just my opinion but I feel vegging at 321 and finishing at 4 2 .5 will get us there just fine, but they know our inner scientist wants to tinker so they gave us options lol all personal preference really as long as your smoke is good you did it right ✌✌✌

Hard to say until I try it.
My inner scientist is a fucking stoner, not relying on that guy! :stoned:

Thanks caddis. The DDS is my favorite plant in the tent. ( at least until I can smoke and compare.) I think I will let her finish,I will try the bloom and finish on a couple of my clones and compare. Sounds like a Nice set up and lights. I look forward to checking it out. Peace.

Thank you, Gweedo. I read your post and have been running the 4 2 .5 for the last 10 days or so. It did seem to perk her up. Getting a nice swell on the buds. More trichomes. I think it helped. I am glad you had it posted. I don't have anything to compare jacks to, but I think its great. My ( inner scientist) says Keep It SIMPLE Stupid. At least until I have a couple grows under my belt. ? peace.

Just switched to jacks a few weeks ago, so far so good! Been watering 5 gallons at a time, 18g part A, 6 grams epsom salts, and 12 grams part b. One thing I've noticed is that some of the upper fan leaves seem to be rotating to be on like a 45 degree axis. Any idea if something in the new feeding schedule could be causing this? Its the only variable I've changed lately. Thanks!

Does anyone have a simple to follow recipe for making Jacks (Hydro/CalNit/Epsom) stock solution? I’ve been weighing out all parts at the 3-2-1 ratios and putting them into a 20 gal reservoir after adding 2ml/gal Armor SI and 2ml/gal CaliMagic (mixed well before adding Jacks). I’d like to achieve around 750-800ppm and cut down on the time needed to weigh out the Jacks each time I fill the reservoir, which has been every day so far. Keeping a couple of 3 gal jugs of stock soluton around and just adding X amount of solution to RO water mixed with SI & Cal Mag seems to be more convenient. I’m running Roots Original Organic soil so I’ve been keeping pH in the 6.1-6.5 range.

This feed chart is from them directly and you can omit what you’re not using and it’s showing per 100 gallons so it seems it would be easy to divide it down to your res size. I hope I understood you correctly. I know there was someone else who just took a bunch of part a, part b and epsom and dissolved a shit load in their own RO and then was using it like liquid nutes but I’ve never done it that way. Other than the mixing how are you feeling about Jacks @spyralout ?

@spyralout I do 100 gallons of part A And B at a time got containers for kool-aid etc from the dollar store they have the measurements on the side and are clear, I do 3.6 2.4 and 1.2 so I'll put 2000mls Into the container then add 360gs of part A and 120gs of Epsom then top it up to 2500mls and shake for a few mins, same process with the part B but it's 2000 mls to 240gs then top to 2500mls, then just use em at 25mls per gal based off what ec your shooting for if I want less ec I'll just do like 17 gals worth of part A and B to 20 gals in the rez, and bump up as needed

a while back I took @CaptC 's advice and made a concentrate first and then added x amount of that to x amount of water. After the first time weighing out the Jacks.......I put it into a clear container......then marked the height with a sharpie....the one container has all 3 marks on it and it's muy rapido to measure it out perfectly each time. To hell with weighing it after that ;)
