I can't quite figure this out. Growing in super soil, water only, tea every 3 weeks and full spectrum LED light.
They grow fine , but the outer edges of middle leafs are browning up and felling off. Same everything as the last 12 months, Maybe now that the heat has subsided, they will get back in line! AFCMprob.jpg

Thanks for the replies, I'll make a slurry to check my PH, I guess. I have not checked PH since going organic super soil. Same soil recipe and amendments as always and I water daily, 1-2 cups per 2-gallon planter but never to runoff. I think I may have been distracted while mixing that batch of soil? I just finished that batch and if my current one doesn't cause any issues, then it was a one off, I hope.
Thanks for the insight, peace...

I went 2 years not needing to ph off my water supply. Noticed issues this summer and have had too since . Your water supply is subject to change. Mine used to advertise 6.5 as their median level . No change in advertising but its 8 out my tap all the sudden

Ya similar here. City water here is at ~8.3pH 160tds out of the tap. I didnt really notice until my pH was too high, and shit was clawing like a mofo. Did soil pH and slurry test. 7.8pH! That was it! Time to get a new pen the old one was toast. Bought a new bluelab phpen with a quickness, and it looks as though things smoothed out pretty quickly.

I have well water and have tested for contaminants, but PH has been a constant 7. Haven't checked for 6-8 months. I'll see tomorrow!
Our well water PH changes through out the year well is recharged by snow pack in mountains it takes 8 months water picks up minerals along way especially calcium in our area water varies from 8.5 to 7.0 I use creek water in summer it's constant 6.5 and softer water

Well friends, I checked, and my Ph was 7.0, and no overwatered pots. This makes me think I missed something when I batched this soil. I think I will start a checklist for mixing my organic super soil.
They have been getting a bit of Cal Mag and silica for the last week, which seems to help. I'll limp across the finish line and start again! With new soil!!!

I'm a perpetual amateur, so take my advice accordingly, but I have had some plants that were unhappy at ph 7.0. An example is the Nachos Otto Orange, which does something similar to what your plants are doing unless I keep ph around 6.3 or so.

Good call, I'll try that next. You may have hit the target! Since I've gone organic, I've not PHed anything, water only. This problem is only occurring with about 20% of my girls, but the affected ones are in the same tents. So, this makes sense.

I have been lowering my PH to 6.5 and adding a bit of Cal-Mag, It seems to have stopped the problem.
I'm guessing that the drought conditions raised PH above normal. This is the first time I've done any PH adjustment, Organic super soil usually needs nothing but water.

A big thank you for the insight my friends, I'm back on track!!!

Doh, I just realized part of my problem, doh! The area where this is occurring, is near my dehumidifier. DH sits up on my cloning cabinet and drains into a 5 gallon bucket. Well, I've been using that water before it spills over into the sump pit. Bottom line, that water is wetness only. there are no minerals or actually anything left in it.
Guess the sump pump will be taking the evap water away from here on.

I was watering with water from my portable AC coming out of summer last year and started having similar issues which I'm attributing to some kind of bacteria[white cloudiness in water when left to sit in 75-80F temps] that was in the water. Once I switched back to RO, the issues went away but the damage was done. There were also some tiny bacteria culture looking things inside the drain hose which I was never able to completely get out even with 10% bleach and hibiclens.
My buddy Troy had a similar experience quite a few years ago when he was using AC water.
