Enzymes

I use enzymes komplete at 6ml per gallon once a week, the day before I do a maintenance flush in coco. It's absolutely working wonders. The day after I use it my runoff ec spikes telling me that it has broken up and released built up fert salts. And it also keeps my roots healthy, which is important growin plants to full term in a 1 gallon pot.

Just curious if anyone is using them and if so, what kinds, how often, and are they worth it
depends on how you want to use it I guess.
X2 on the Enzymes Komplete for maintenance and keeping stuff fresh. I use it on the inbetweens to clean all my hydroponics gear (F&D kits and screens,Pumps,trays,1/2 gal pots etc). Froths up like crazy, and when it stops -its done. Usually about 24 hrs or so. I tried running it in the rez but didnt have the success that @Dirtbag has. I usually run a sterile res and the plants started getting fussy when I switched over. I cant recall what ml/gal I was using but I tend to run things on the lighter side. Very well could have been my dosing or something I did?

I also run really low dose but found when I used the enzymes in the res my runoff ec would spike big time. If you use them you need to start off really low dose at 2ml/g and work up 2ml/g each res change until you are at 6ml/g. You also need to do a light rinse after the first 4ml/g dose, the ec in the media really gets hot using it, even on low dose.

Fist time I used it was at week 4 veg and I used 4ml/g, feeding at 1.2 ec my runoff came out at 1.9-2ec the next day. If you dont rinse after you use it you get really high ec in the rootzone.

That said, if you are in DWC or rockwool I dont think it's as beneficial as using it in something with a strong cec. Its excellent for coco and peat mixes though.
