Trouble in flower

It's a Wedding Cake from Seed. Probably close to 4 weeks from flip. Medium is amended old soil mimicking coots mix.

Turns out I didn't know how to water. Its a 10 gal fabric pot. Was giving 1.5 litres every other day. However, there wasn't any issues until I decided to dry her out a little and fully saturate her with 3litres of water a day ago.

She was drooping like being overwatered. Then I begin to see rust tips. My guess is I did not let her dry out well enough? Should have watered later? Maybe the constantly wet rootball is experiencing a big PH swing? Causing a lockout?

I gave a top dress 10 days ago and AACT before flip. Should not be a deficiency?

Plan now is to wait till Pot is feather light then water with seaweed extract Just in case its potassium deficient like it looks? Good for stress too?

Really hope i can save this one! Can anyone help? Please?

I also wanted to point out something to you . The strain you are running can be a bit cantankerous especially 3-4 weeks after flip. I am just about finished my second go round with it. Which is going much better than the first round i might add. I can't help much as i am not a soil grower but a couple of the guys helping here are.

That is a mouthfull.

Ask yourself, was it actually dry?
Was it this dry?

Only takes an hour or two, for a plant to recover from that.

A watered plant WILL droop. Perhaps even for a day~~ Is normal.

Measurements seem inconsequentially off. That pot would be 15"d x 15"h to be 10G
10 gallons is near 40 litres.
I would venture 3 litres is 20% container volume , not 7%

Constantly wet root ball causes oxygenation problems, not necessarily ph problems.

My unsolicited guess is diaper rash, or high ph.

Can you please teach me how you arrive at 3 litres being 20% for a 40 litre Pot? I really wanna know. This might be my main problem!

I believe you may be correct with the high PH but what do I do about it then? How do I get the diaper rash to subside?

Thank you so much. I enjoy your posts very much. Very poetic and intelligent. Wish I was smarter lol

12 hours later and does not seem to be progressing any further. Drooping has also improved.

Gotta really wait for them to get dry! Will aim for a really light Pot before watering!

Keep the knowledge coming please! Thank you all so much for having my back!

I dont think its K. It would be showing in the lowers more. Sometimes calcium can show this way .
This would be my guess as well because i know for a fact that the WC can demand a lot of calcium. With me i aid that uptake with the addition of silica. My first attempt at growing the WC i developed a nitrogen toxicity because it did not have enough calcium to process the nitrogen. I was giving it more than enough calcium it was a uptake problem that the silica has helped overcome.

Does that fabric pop measure 15 inches across the top ?
Is that fabric pot 15 in up to the soil line?

I mixed the equation.

This is 15 by 15 in

I intended to express that 3 into a 15 L container would comprise 20% of total available volume.

What I did not explicitly illustrate was the fact that I made the calculations assuming the dimensions in my imagination were accurate.

So what I really wish to know is: the dimensions of that fabric pot.

the diaper rash ?
Little bums need to breathe. You sit in shitty pants long enough it will begin to attack your sensitive cheeks. Leaves damage.

Unless you are intending to S I P, you could place anything corrugated under the pot, to allow air to circulate freely, in order to dry the media from all available surface area.

Pooled water is an oxygen blocker whereas aerated media helps to draw oxygen across the roots.

Nothing personal,,,
Allow me to change the pronouns and injected some poetry.

If one were to perch atop their own defecation for a long enough period of time ,the choice of venue would certainly have a deleterious effect upon the precious epidermal tissue of the precarious said percher's derriere

I have enough silica I believe with rice hulls, charred rice Hulls and also use Potassium Silicate in tiny amounts to PH Up.
