Danks quest for dankness

I'm hoping for a good keeper or two from the Atomic gold girls. They are my Chernobyl x 24k gold cross. The first 3 I ran in the spring were solid but I lost the lemon cleaner pheno due to a russet mite infestation from a clone I got from a friend.

Hemp/russets are so tiny I couldn't see them with my jewelers loupe. It looked clean and healthy so he snipped me a little branch, wrapped the cut end with a wet paper towel. I brought it home in a sandwich baggie, no medium. I quarantine it till it rooted. It did start looking like it was kinda wilted but still I couldn't see them with a loupe so I put it in the room with the garden. Rest is history. They spread like crazy. I culled out all my keepers I spent years finding. I culled entire garden. Cleaned threw away tent and lots of my equipment. Waited 2 months then popped seeds.

Sorry people's for the long story. But it's Really important to use a USB microscope for inspection. Bugs exist that are hard to see. Even though a loupe

I'll never again take clones. Even if it was the best thing available. Biosecurity is most important to me. It's heartbreaking chopping down entire garden

Hopefully everyone is having a great day. Thanks for stopping by

That sucks , it happens. This is the main reason I don't take cuts as well. If I have taken a cut from u it means I think u are clean af. That said deep down I wanna find my own . Just got some legit pcg and archive cuts tho so I can see what the bar is

ya @Dankman_420 russets are a MFer to deal with. Sorry you had to deal with that. I've lost some good stuff too geting clones from homies that swear they are bug free. I take clones from 1 person now who I wholeheartedly trust....and even then I still quarantine and nuke with a 2 part insecticide treatment and a 1 part fungicide treatment before they get invited into the garden.

Hey Red thanks for stopping by :D
Ya it was a shitty experience but it taught me a lesson I'll remember forever. Makes no sense taking clones while I'm sitting on a lifetime amount of seeds. Besides I dig the hunt from cracking seeds. Just never know what might be found.

I topped all the veg plants today. They'll be little bushes by the time they get flipped.

Hopefully all's well with everyone today. Thanks for stopping by

The lure of the hype cuts is like cheese in the mouse trap. I have not taken any cuts or clones into the garden in several years just for this reason alone. A lot of precautions are necessary for a proper quarantine of a cut or clone. Even with a good quarantine still risky to stop the spread like example (clothing and shoes, air movement etc.) Best to treat like @Buck5050 said. NOT taking cuts is part of my IPM :ROFLMAO: . If i had a good area to receive and isolate cuts and clones it might be a different story. Sorry to here of your loss there @Dankman_420 scary thought losing moms you have keep and worked with for years. Talk about default settings:ROFLMAO:

Day 41 in bloom from the pheno hunt of 11 atomic gold plants.
Today I pulled out all the plants and cleaned up the tent with water white vinegar solution. Cleanliness is important. I try to do it at least once every month or two.
While the girls were out Dankwoman and myself did a top to bottom inspection for pests or other issues. We found nanners on #8, #9, and #11. Only one or two on each plant. Nothing crazy. But it's enough for me to move those to a smaller tent to finish up. I'm guessing 3 more weeks. I'll keep an eye on those to see if they keep making nuts.

Really a bummer because #11 is gorgeous, was my favorite of the bunch. Clones for those 3 have been culled.

No time for nanners. Especially when I have so many to pick from.

Hopefully all's well with everyone today and thanks for stopping by

Good morning everyone. I wanted to mention that the ones that I found nanners on were all on the bottom popcorn buds.

Also I have few seeds soaking.
A head cake from elev8

A triangle pupil from MMS

And a rocklock from DNA

Hopefully I can get them to crack. It's cold in my house which doesn't help.

The headband x wedding cake might bring some heat.

The triangle kush x Star pupil might too, with some color

Hopefully all's well with everyone today and thanks for stopping by

Weather sucks today here. So I'm bored and posting pics. Day 42 in bloom. It's tough to get clear pics of the tops with lights on. Lol

All 3 seeds cracked. They are now in Solo's of light warrior seed starting mix.
The triangle kush x Star pupil barley cracked but went into soil too.
I've grown couple strains from elev8 genetics. IMO they are a company that is underrated and overlooked.
Thier lemon snow cone was the most flavorful I've ever grown. I've ran 3 of those. All terpy AF

Hopefully all's well with everyone today. Thanks for stopping by :D

Hi everyone :D

The garden is doing well. No more nanners found in the quarantine tent. All's good today. I wanted to show few different pheno's. The more hairy ones are 24k gold leaning. The smaller more frosty one's are Chernobyl leaning. Sorry if it's a picture overload.

Hopefully everyone is having a great day
