Has anyone tried using PH as an IPM (Integrated Pest Management)? I have only heard a little bit on this and wanted to get others point of view.
I completely understand the importance of ph, but have you used it for an IPM before? For pest/disease control. Not using it for long periods of time (Only IPM). Also from what I've heard you only do full body foliar spray, not root drench. I'm just seeing if anyone else has played around with this and what their outcomes were. I use normal(Cannabis) PH for my waterings. I had read that someone was doing this and thought it was a brilliant idea if it worked. Would be a great cheap, easy alternative to other IPM programs.Perfect ph provides a means for everything else to come in line.
Environmental things like filtered intake air among other things is very important too. Humidity and on and on and on.
Thank you for responding, I am aware of different ipm sprays but I'm wondering if anyone has tried just using ph'd (Very High/low)water as their ipm spray. Not using any chemicals. They had said they use an 11.5 ph let it sit for a few hrs then use a 2.5 ph, I'm guessing to even it out. I've only read about this and just wondered if anyone else had tried it.IPM Sprays as part of your weekly regiment are the best approach.
Buildasoil has a blog post and they have recipes for a rotating foliar ipm spray program. I like it a lot. It gives me power over thrips.
Suck it thrips.
haven't saw this done in flower and the lights do need to be out from what I gathered from the infoI’m guessing it would need to be done after the stomata is completely closed?
I like Burned in the past, have used Potassium Bicarbonate for mold issues, I’m not aware of its use in IPM it’s high ph is why it works on mold as Burned pointed out, some pests might not like it, it is worth trying.against molds, look at greencure or same ingredients aka potassium bicarbonate .its defense is it’s ph ( I use to not allow molds to populate on surfaces sprayed with such a high ph once infected)
Potassium Bicarbonate, I use it for already infected plants and I also use it for ph up for my drenches if I need a ph up Adjusted.
yes it’s not a perm fix but once your infected you might as well count the plant as perm infected and keep it clean the whole rest of the time. It’s really not that hard even if it’s raining outdoors, key is to apply every 7 days or after a rain storm. Safe , cheap and works great

Nice tip there Burned !Like I stated above, I never stated for pest management , it was for molds defense
hydrogen peroxide is a better defense against pest than high ph, Inless high pooilayi0nmor certain species, a very good way to battle even mites
just dilluate at 3-5% ( I have 40% and dilluate it to that preference )
