Cannabutter dosage using rosen pucks

Ok. I've read using spent rosin pucks for canna butter works nicely.
But how much? How much THC is really left in them?
The 2 or 3 times I have made it I always used something like 1 oz. of weed or flower to 4 sticks butter.
I have 60 g. of pucks. Would that be enough or should I add flower also?
Anyone with experience using spent pucks?

Oh man I think you’ll be more than okay with 60g to 4 sticks to butter. Maybe a little much. Not enough research on the matter but over my years of observation I think the pucks will be strong. It’s pretty much like AVB, already vaped bud, but with some oil too. I wouldn’t add any other bud.

I know a guy that breaks up the pucks and do a wash with everclear, or any high proof alcohol, and then evaporate that off, mix with coconut oil, and then he makes canna caps that I’m sure would send me into a coma.

For reference sake - pound for pound, would AVB or Resin Puck be stronger or weaker than decent trim (20% larf, 50% sugar leaf, 30% small fan leaf)?
My opinion but I think the Rosin puck would be the strongest due to any left over oil and especially if bubble hash wash used. AVB would be on par with trim after the trim has been decarbed since that is pretty much what AVB is. Although the trim may be stronger depending on how dark your AVB is. There’s a lot of variables.

I will say that it’s all strong. I’ve used the strained bud from making infused oil and put that on a Firecracker, just 1-2 TEAspoons, and everytime it would knock me out. This is after infusing for 3-6 hours.

That's a good question. Probably not a lot of testing or experimenting been done on it. But if I had to guess, I'd say spent rosin pucks being stronger than avb. At least that's why I saved that and not avb. That and convenience. Guess there's the smell factor to. Don't care for the smell of avb.

Great thread. I have much to learn on this front. I haven't ran any of my pucks yet, but thinking about it, could a lot of the THC have been converted to CBN through the processing of pressing/storage. Sounds like its going to be couch lockish!

Oh I think so for sure. I try to infuse my oil for at least 6 hours in the crockpot in order to get that good ole CBN. With pucks I think how long you press them and the temp at which you press them will factor into how much CBN there is. Always looking for that couch lock when it comes to edibles.

So something I was just thinking about also that may impact the strength of whats left in the pucks also. The bags..I mean if I am using a 90, the 90--> is still in the bag/puck?

I was wondering has anyone used a tcheck potency tester before? Any feedback?

Combine the tCheck device with the expansion kit to test the potency of infusions, flower, or concentrate for THC or CBD or total cannabinoids.
*Total cannabinoids is an aggregate of all cannabinoids including: THCa, THC, CBDa, CBD, CBG, CBN.

Imho I would say yes, above 90 is definately still in the bags. Likely alot of goodness still left in there.
