Paladin #1 - GK Genetics - @Phylex

20200329_092317_PAL1_SR.jpg

- Appearance – Bulky, chunky, golf ball nugs. A bit of squish but solid through and through. Potential heavy yielder.

- Bouquet – Subtle, not overpowering. GTH influence with the herbal-earthiness.

- Dry Hit (Joint) – Herbal with a hint of frozen vegetables and Pert Plus shampoo or lotion, but without the soapiness.

- Smoke – Medium with a bit of bite in the nostrils with a dragon breath. Expands in the lungs on the quicker end. “Toasty” taste.

- Effect – Balanced mind and body. Head is “swimming” with warmth behind the eyes. This bud has the potential to kick things into overdrive. If you like to fiddle with things, this is a good strain to put in the mix.

I love the way you review strains. :D Frozen veggies an Pert shampoo, lol. Such an interesting combination. As crazy as it sounds, I think I actually know just what you mean though.
Your descriptions are genius ;) good stuff and nice buds.
Thanks jp I appreciate that. The possibilities are just about endless with terp combos and flavor profiles for weed. Nothing like it. It's all subjective, but I try to think of the best way to describe things that may even lead a person to kinda " 'click' ahh I get it."

I've been hearing more about this "gamy" taste in buds. I want to confirm if it's what I'm thinking it is. Only one way to find out is to grow a known gamy tasting strain. What if it were hunted/selected, then combined with an earthy pine; would the smoke smell and taste like a Summer Mountain BBQ?

Strain name already selected ?

In Bloom
hahaha hell yeah. We had a widow variety that absolutely reeked of what I would describe as rotten meat and skunk butt. But the flavor was closer to smoked sausage and mustard when it was cured nicely.

You find that Summer Mtn BBQ let me know, sounds like a winner?

Im a born "fiddler" so these kinda buzzes are great for me. Nice report on some solid genetics.

Tilts at Tables
Either I mixed up a tester bud, or this Paladin is very much like my stolen MaTiVa.
Same smell in the grinder. Not cured, yet no green hay taste, and smooth draws. No chance of coughing.
Not toasty like burnt sugar, mind you. More like too many baking powder biscuits, and not enough butter.
I am getting whiffs of lemony pie crust in the grinder, with serious tones of “not F’ing around”
Gotta admit, was good and cozy off of one of those bad boys.
Got the other two plants coming down tonight. I will tune up a better description.
This is the fun part.
