So I don't have the mental space for my previous review format but I'd like to keep this going so I think I'm gonna drop a few one offs here and there. Still have a bunch of papers from the extremely generous @BigPretzel as well as some more I picked up.

Today I cracked into these... 20210620_184754.jpg 20210620_184800.jpg

OCB Virgin!

giphy (7).gif

Clearly the manufacturers were a fan...

No wait, just read the package. They're just made from non recycled, yet sustainably harvested, paper... which, not sure if that's good? They're unbleached so they look healthy, right?

All that aside, this is a nice paper. Rolls well, smokes nice and even and the glue holds well. That being said, it's not a major standout like the last OCB entry. It's a bit thick so it burns a little quicker than I like, and it has a slightly stronger paper flavor than I like. But if you like unbleached papers it's a nice choice.

OCB is generally my go to brand. Sometimes the black / holographic pack, sometimes the tan pack with maroon lettering. 1 1/4 or King size. They're comparable to Raws and the like, but only a buck a pack, retail. ?
Mine too Lately. I’m really big on the white pack called sophistique or something like that. They have tips already in them and are supposedly super thing at 13.5G/m they are made from flax too. I love to smoke runtz through them it’s like a light sweetness to the paper that just adds to the experience

So the next papers of the week are these Hempires pure hemp papers, again, courtesy of @BigPretzel...

These papers are noticeably thicker than the the last few and as such are much less translucent. I'm starting to wonder how much money it costs per paper for the watermarks... View attachment 66021

They actually slip a bit when rolling. The glue works very well though. Overall initial impressions though.... not great. First hit is rather harsh and it maintains a bit of a papery taste throughout. Also canoes pretty easily. But we'll give it the rest of the week to see how they do.
Damn man we really do think a lot alike. These were my thoughts to a T on these. I could only use 1-2 of those papers they were harsh on the throat. They came in a Cellophane wrap before I used the one or two. I think the company spent all there money on packaging and resources but didn’t test there product with the actual consumers.

I'm now watching this thread as I'm curious how it turns out. I can't roll for shit and use a machine, or my girl rolls for us (come on I grow it and grind it you just have to roll it) lol.
That's how I learned to roll...no one else was any good at it lol. My friends would just hand me a half zip and I'd sit there and spin the whole thing up into spliffs and blunts for them. Pack em up and send them on their way. Clearly I smoke a lot of joints.

thanks man...i have a 900 pack of cones from malaysia and...well there is something just off about them...

A clean cone 1000 pack...i have a 34 bump box to fill them. A 1 oz grove bag per strain would be kind of nice...because in the grove the doobage will stay fresh i think.

:D
For sure man. You know I'm more of a traditionalist and don't use a ton of preforms but I couldn't resist giving them a shot, especially once they took the time to pop into the thread. The people need to know.

I bought a 3 pack of OGB King Size cones and man were those better than satisfactory.

The best cones i ever used. I filled them with a funnel and a rammer.... musket style..the doob was 2.3 grams when loaded and it burned a really really long time.

And perfectly start to finish not a run...not a sparkle...just perfection.

Pricey....but i like them a lot better than palm rolls...i just dont get it :D

And Zig Zag Organic Hemp...just beauty.

But there are many out there...we gots to know !

Well, without further ado, I return with another rolling paper review, replete with plenty of empirical data... or you know, my own, extremely subjective opinions.

This is a pack of Vibes I've been smoking on all week. They're a thin rice paper "cultivated and crafted in France" and "cut and kitted" in the Dominican Republic... and I don't know what that really means, other than they're made in one of those places. Apparently these papers were designed in collaboration with the Cookies guy.

As is nearly ubiquitous these days, they have a nifty watermark so all your friends will know your so cool you smoke Berner's rolling paper brand!

Snarkiness aside, I actually really like these papers. They burn extremely clean, no paper flavor at all. Also have a nice slow burn even when your spinning up a bunch of dry AF schaff out of your rolling tray like I just did. That sure is one ugly joint... but I digress. Despite the image above they're really easy to roll with and the glue holds wonderfully. This may be my favorite rice paper so far as most of my favorites have been hemp prior to this.

Now I know what 2Chainz was rapping bout...

I've forgotten the parameters for my rating system, plus to quote the poet "comparisons are odious".

And to paraphrase a different poet "this is just like, my opinion man".

So it's just stoney thoughts today.

Also, @BigPretzel, I can't remember if this is one of the packs you sent me or not, but thanks either way. Hope your well brother!

I have been on the hunt as well.

I like these better than Raw.
The gum does not curl up on me.
20220430_213213.jpg

That shag end , on your roll , Corpsey; with a LeafLine I can tear ( to trim) that off, a Raw will not rip.
20220430_213238.jpg
I am hesitant to trust paper I cannot rip with my fingertips.

My friend, who happens to work at a dispensary, told me that one of their Distributors sends them a case of these papers - free with every order.
Luckily, I had the presence of mind to gift him an ounce of Citrus City last year ,,,,and I haven't paid for a pack of rolling papers since.
