Rained a bit last night and things remained quite damp this morning... went out to check on some photoperiods to see if they needed to be watered and noticed a dark spot on the Trizkit... argh, bad mold. Removed more bud than I would've liked and tossed it, then went back to inspecting and found other spots. Bound to happen with such big dense buds + humidity through the roof, but still a little painful. I may chop tomorrow at day 89, or may leave it to chance that it can make it a few more days.

Sad news, I had taken down my lone Trizkit at day 89, ~10 days ago. Took some risks drying in a barn without dehumidification and lost that bet what with the tropical weather we had for a few days last week + humidity through the roof: botrytis all over the place. Ended up tossing it all.

I did snag a big bud before days of rain and humidity did in my harvest. Uncured, of course, not a heck of a lot of flavor in the smoke, some sweetness. Nice high, particularly considering the plant could've easily gone another week.

TBF we've had over double the amount of rain we usually get in a summer, but I'm thinking this plant's buds were just too dense for a moist New England environment. Outdoors I'd think they'd do much better some place fairly dry. The buds were so damned pretty, would no doubt do much much better indoors away from the bugs and humidity.

Lesson learned, I ordered another tent to run a dehumidifier to dry in.

Whiskey Zulu #1 day 77. She's been struggling for a couple weeks and since they only have less than 2 weeks left im just telling my wife plain water from here on out. This whiskey is being turned into butter so appearance is not important. 20210827_215139.jpg 20210827_215207.jpg
Whiskey zulu #2. She's just a beast. I almost gave up on her early on but after a flush she took off. Day 75. Maybe a week left. 20210827_214643.jpg 20210827_214659.jpg

Thanks again for the opportunity to participate! On the one hand I feel like I screwed up left and right and fucked it all up which bums me out, on the other hand I feel like I learned a ton about growing autos, mostly things I had heard again and again (must be on top of your game, must address pests and molds early and often, etc) but that are hard to totally internalize until you experience them for yourself. Now that I've had a little time to reflect on it, if I had a climate controlled indoor space I could use I could easily see trying autos again. For now I'm working with what I've got, which is far from ideal, but you never know what tomorrow might bring.

And hey, no time to cry over spilled milk, still have photos to be tended to, including a somewhat cray looking Ave of the Giants.
