So I have a question for the more experienced outdoor growers amongst us. It's in the title essentially, but when can you tell a plants sex outdoors?

Maybe this is a silly question, maybe it's a complicated answer...I genuinely have no idea. Can you still typically see presex signs at 6ish weeks like indoors? Or does it not show until later in the season? Is it dependent on the hours of light or anything?

I've always sexed plants indoors before then brought them outside so it's not something I've given any previous thought too

Solution
They usually show like indoor girls at about 6 weeks, around 8 or 9 nodes of growth. Mangospills were the latest showing plants I have personally seen with some not showing for 9--10 weeks and 13 nodes.

Just ordered the 10 pack so ill let you know how it goes. I got 6 seedlings up and hopefully 5 more be popping up soon so as soon as I can ill snip and send to see whats what with those guys.
I just grabbed some tests from Delta Leaf. They're a good bit cheaper and I need 18 tests so I decided to give them a shot. We can compare results!

Damn it, ? i should've shopped around! Ill check out delta leaf next time around.
Farmer Freeman seems to be better regarded so we shall see...it very well may be one of those you get what you pay for situations lol. But I had a question on their sample preferences (it's different than FF, they want a whole, small fresh leaf instead of just a snip) and they got right back to me so at least I know they respond

I dont think there is much difference between the two companies the test is the same but some of the machines used in testing are different and need a larger sample you should have the same results. When I first did research on this I found a MiniPCR and they use a sample about the size of a hole punch. I figure the larger sample request is incase of inconclusive test but I dont know. I send in a leaf one of the bottom single blades after I get a few nodes going as I think it helps them get a good sample. Only used FF so this is all just speculation.

Here in CO when I was outdoors they all showed in the first couple weeks of August. My B day is in the middle of August, and I always took it as a birthday present when I'd get some fine ass ladies showing me there sexy parts for my b day. Lol.
A few showed earlier, like by Aug 1st, a few showed in the 3rd week, but all showed by the end of the 3rd week.
Once they'd start showing then OMG did they blow the heck up quick. Huge growth, seems much more so than indoors stretch gets to being.
