I am glad that you scuffed them. I meant to tell you that the Goji hybrids can sometimes have tougher hulls than others.

Yes, but it's very strain dependant. I put a piece of 80 grit sandpaper coiled up with the grit facing in, in a 2"diameter pill bottle or similar. Spin it around in your hand then spin reverse direction, 30 - 60 seconds and done. I also add 20% hydrogen peroxide to the soak water. Even with all that, I still find a few who won't tail, unless I gently crack them with pliers. Not really a problem just a bit of a pain.

I do not really keep up with how often, but here and there for sure. I usually give seeds a couple of days to germinate and then if I am not seeing any sign of a radicle, I just crack them with my teeth. Positive vibes...

I think I experienced my very first "tough shell" this season; The Wife wanted a strain called 7 Sins popped for herself, and I did my usual method of popping; I grabbed a solo cup, wrote the strain name on it, and put some water in to soak the bean. Each day I emptied the water out and rinsed it a bit to keep it from molding, and after well over a week, I still didn't see anything. I thought "this must be a no good seed".... So, after a while, we ended up having to spend the weekend in the Hospital with this oldest and I'd emptied the water out mostly from that cup and left it until we came back.
When we got back the cup was totally dry, so I grabbed it, rinsed it out a bit, and put fresh water in again. The seed was floating again like when it first went in. The next day while changing the water it finally sank again, and then, it finally opened up with a little taproot coming out. She sprouted finally so I moved her to soil. But that was the first time I've had a brown seed do that.

Hazmat OG x Blowfish x Stagger Lee
5 soaked, 12 hrs or so, 4 tailed, so 4 were placed in a starter mix, made of a portion sunshine mix #4 and perlite. I mix up a tote for all year use.
To hydrate that medium, I mix a 1/4 tsp, of Bio War OG Root Powder, in the water , filling each pot with a 1/4 portion of medium, setting them in a tote, to saturate fully.
Poke a wee hole, tails down, in they go
Tagged each pot, and so it goes for day one of life!!

1st smoke reminded me of tangerine power but better
like oranges grown in the ground instead of trees or like jgg says a grapefruit ipa
the flavors & terps are outstanding
my adult kid came over & his eyes lit up hitting it
he loves the flavor (so does my wife)
it's definitely night time stuff
gives us the munchies something fierce
my wife nicknamed her "after midnight "
like the Clapton song because of the color & effects
killer smoke
so good iam goin through my ill eagle gear to see what else iam gonna pop
