To clarify: When does a "Landrace" become a "Heirloom"?
Why are the traditional Afghani strains not "Heirlooms"?
Would land race mean untouched open pollination and heirloom mean run from handful of stock for a phenotype(expression) and inbred that and worked with. Like mazar is skunk 1 with a balkh or something to that effect. Bred and worked for a pheno they found and liked?

Black Maui from SnowHigh Seeds at harvest
I was worried about these 4 plants all summer as I didn't get any scent off the plants.
Come harvest though the scent was divine, like white Plumeria flowers, the Hawaiian flowers used to make leis.
Black Maui #1 had a strong gasoline fuel scent for awhile, which changed to the floral scent when dry.
Black Maui #2 had an old gasoline dank scent while blooming, which changed to a dank floral scent when dry.
Black Maui #3 had a very sweet Plumeria scent while blooming and when dry.
Black Maui #4 had a sweet gas/floral scent while blooming, which changed to a floral scent when dry.
All the scents were very similar when dry. I recalled the scent from wearing a Plumeria lei.

The buds broken down for drying on screens (I hate the sound of seeds hitting the floor from branches hanging in the drying room)

Seeds sourced from The Real Seed Company.

The overall characteristics:
8 male and 8 female plants were grown to harvest.
During vegetative growth the scents were resinous, Nag Champa, amber, slight cinnamon, warm spice, black currant, in both male and female plants.
The plants were very similar in form, leaf structure, and bud structure (images above).
The plants were drought tolerant.
One male was removed from the garden, it started to flower two weeks before the other males started to flower, and before the females were ready.
Wild native bees loved the pollen.
No bud rot. No powdery mildew.
Excellent resin quality.
The resin heads detached fairly easily (traditional use: hashish (charas) production).

The external characteristics, the “Purple”:
Though the temperature only got to 38F, seasonal change and chlorophyll breakdown did allow anthocyanin pigments to unmask and and become visible.
The calyxes, and leaves, in the top buds, did turn a nice black/purple color. The color was most marked on the upper buds that were exposed to the most sun. Shade kept the smaller buds inside the plant and on the North side of the plants from turning purple. The deep inside of the buds stayed green.

Taste and scent:
When dry smells good, like good hash with a black currant and berry fruity sweetness.
Taste like good hash, with black currant.

The effects:
All I did was grow the pants, the original Farmer in Afghanistan is to thank for this amazing plant. This strain has been worked to perfection!
The absolute smoothest cannabis I have ever smoked! Smooth going up, smooth coming down. “Hello Sweetie!”
Very smooth instant high. No transition from straight to high. Nice, polite, extremely pleasant.
Euphoric. Feel good.
Spiritual, a bit shamanic.
Dreamy.
Colors brighter (good for watching anime).
Slows time (nice!)
Felt in the moment. In-the-moment: there was a tendency to not think of future or past events, to “be here now”.
Relaxing for mind and body. My eyesight better, more clear (perhaps due to relaxation of the facial muscles around the eyes).
Refreshing, like a drink of cool mountain spring water in a desert.
Invigorating. Wanted to get up and Do something (one session I jumped up and did the dishes... another time I built a compost pile in the garden).
Strong CBD pain relief effect ( perhaps CBDV also).

Ceiling:
I have yet to find the ceiling.

Coming down:
The original intensity slides smoothly and seamlessly into easy-going relaxation. The CBD effect lasts and lasts.

Legs:
Lasts easily for a movie, and then some.

Some appetite stimulation. Slightly diuretic.
No couch lock, no anxiety, no paranoia.
None of that Indica edginess. No Indica “buzz”.
No hang-over the next day.

Passes field test with flying colors.
I am adding this strain to my “favorites” list.

I will definitely be ordering these. Great description, grow and write up.
Bud rot / mildew resistance is a big winner for outdoors in my area.

Seeds ready.
If growing for sensimilla I would have harvested earlier.
Tranquil Elephantizer rm v2 hybridized with Pua or Satori is the daddy...with Yunnan genetics from the mother.
Or possibly could be 'My Love Has Wings' due to the directly seeded bed being disturbed by birds or such...

This is what to expect when growing 'My Love Has Wings' seeds.
Harvested Dec. 10, 2021. Would harvest earlier for sensimilla.
