I'll bring them in the garage or at least put them up against something to block the wind. Makes a difference for sure.Frost is coming tonight, for me at least.
How do you guys deal with it? Cover them up? Just let them take it?
I wish I could do that, but they're in 100 gal pots, lol!I'll bring them in the garage or at least put them up against something to block the wind. Makes a difference for sure.

You better shake them girls off. I was good up until a few days ago. These next two weeks are crucial. Remember rot starts from the inside ?Depends on the strain :
The only Sativa leaning strain I've done, didn't like cold much (Hawaiian Sunshine, can't find info and send to have been a locally done strain).
For Blue Cheese, Skywalker, Detroit Lemonade, Chem D..... nothing. I've gone out in the morning and literally shook branches to get the snow off them, and then picked off the 3 dying Shade leaves so that didn't rot, and pulled the one bud showing rot right off and called it a day. Two years ago all my plants experienced 27 degrees Fahrenheit outside.
The first time we started a bon fire to keep it warmer out there, but you're probably better off running a simple fan so the stagnant wet cold air can't attach to the plant to begin with.
But now ? I don't even have the fan hooked up yet to be honest. Just an extention cord and a decent fan blowing near the plants so there's air flow. The results aren't bad:

Super wet and cold but that happens here. So far I've lost maybe half a gram to bud rot so it's not as high of a concern. That Pink, red, purple is nice though, and resin is water proof so the plant seems to up production of it when it's cold.
Have to remember there are places in Afghanistan where the only precipitation they get is snow.
Yeah I go out there shaking plants a lot cause the humidity in the morning is usually high. I've had a few times where a branch had to come off cause it was in a spot that's hard to see and I didn't notice the first signs, but it's rare to lose a whole branch Thank God.You better shake them girls off. Ya I figuredI should point out those pics were taken in the rain so they were a lot wetter then usual
The inferno is throwing balls? Having trouble with one of my eyes so can't see the best lol that's to bad she is a looker...I am thinking back and realize I have never had an issue w bugs or rot even from a Platinum cross. Makes sense that's one of in-houses flagship strains .

This is a heartbreaker after seeing three of them throw balls . She's beautiful but she's got no chance in this stable.
