Is 3thirteen seeds the ones who did Detroit Lemonade ?
The reason I'm asking is that I first heard of this strain when my soon to be Father in Law brought clones back of it and gave my Fiance and I 3 of them, and being into the growing as I am, I looked on Leafly trying to find info about it, and of course, couldn't... I ended up using Google to try and find it, and couldn't at first, and eventually found this site while continuing to search. I finally had found the Strains that were bred to make it, and printed out a Genetic background of the Strain.
I had decent plants and at first I was told it was "Detroit Lemon", and after searching I figured it was Detroit Lemonade, which made a lot more sense. I grew the 3 clones I had last year, and for the whole Summer I could NOT tell it apart from Skywalker. They both got massive (Like quite a bit above 10 feet) and both smelled generically fruity at first, and they even looked and somewhat acted the same. I was starting to think he had mixed up the labels because of the similar looks, and after it started getting cooler outside, they both even turned the same shades of Purple, and then almost black.
I do have some pictures, and I Honestly do not know which picture is Skywalker, and which picture is Detroit Lemonade, and it took months of Curing them before I could tell them apart..... I went as far as putting each plant into separate jars because I didn't know which ones were which just from looking and smelling at first.
After months of curing them, the plant marked Skywalker started smelling a lot like a Blueberry Farm; Blueberries and a noticeable "Earthy" or "Dirt" smell, which is why I describe it as a Blueberry Farm because you can smell the Blueberries, and the Dirt they're grown in LOL. The Detroit Lemonade finally came around too after a while; Lemons and a distinct "Pungent" sort of smell came through after a while.
These pictures were taken last year, and as I said; Some of the images are Skywalker, and some Detroit Lemonade.... They looked way too similar for me to tell though. While trimming it I made sure each tray was marked so we wouldn't get them mixed up, because of the similarities in look, so one day I'd hack a few branches off, and I had 3 Detroit Lemonade plants, and one Skywalker, and to be sure each one was what it was supposed to be, I made post it notes to mark the trays, and to put on the hangers for drying so I knew not only what strain, but which plant of that strain, so it was like "Front Detroit Lemonade" and then Middle, and Back, and then Skywalker, and then made sure that bud going in a Jar was marked with the strain and plant location in the garden so they didn't get mixed up.
