I gifted my only pack of Detroit Lemonade to a close friend. After I got a hold of Citrus Milf, and she came out gangbusters, his incessant raving about lemon terps had me backed into a corner.
He hasn't even grown them yet.

I had 3 clones that my soon to be Father in law gave me the year I got my Skywalker clone, and to be Honest I had no idea what I was really doing yet (Didn't know much and that was my first year giving nutrients and my second grow ever so inexperience lead to not knowing what a hermie was LOL) but they produced VERY nice buds and broooooo lemmie tell you about the coloration when it gets cold out
I've shown some of the buds from those clones and they were huge and beautiful.I guess it doesn't really bother me much of one hermies out.... I mean, I'm pretty open about how this is my first year growing seeds that aren't bag seed LOL. And I've got my Blue Cheese and Chem D bag seed going too. I may not be able to breed with hermie seed, (Well, I could... But if I'm gonna breed I'd want actual good proper seeds) but as for putting those seeds in and growing literally pounds of weed I can smoke and don't have to buy.... I'll be honest there's NO way I could afford to pay for all the weed I smoke. I legit grind out a quarter ounce + of Blue Cheese at a time and the only dispensary I've seen that sells Blue Cheese is on 8 Mile and that's $400.00 an ounce..... LOL I already can't really afford seeds let alone THAT price.
$400.00 an ounce.... And it doesn't even have the word cookies in the name! Haha!
I know you guys are on another level from me and actually do breeding / chucking / plant sex stuff to do new crosses and strains, but I also know y'all smoke so if you're sitting on seeds of Detroit Lemonade and you want a good producing plant where it doesn't matter if your tent gets to 40 degrees at night and makes it beautiful!..... pop 'em!
I legit got pounds of those clones and the buds were so damn pretty I barely wanted to trim it....
Indoor Detroit Lemonade (All the clones we had came from the same person) smelled like Fruity Pebbles when you trim it, and outdoor smelled like a generic citrus sweet smell at first. Now the real difference I noticed was when it came to curing it!
Indoor didn't really change a whole lot, but the outdoor..... Lemmie tell you why I feel like outdoor is better; I smoked a shit load of that Detroit Lemonade. Like a LOT. Now after it had been curing for a while, it had a very distinct lemon smell to it, which you'd expect of course, but the last two jars.... They were cured the longest, and they went in a little moist (teehee!) but slow curing worked SO well! By the time I was opening the last jar to grind up and smoke the smell was a LOT different; A very clear Lemon smell still of course, but then a slight "skunky" pungency showed up that was very pleasing. Indoor I never found that smell like at all. Indoor was just fruity pebbles at first and then lemon. Outdoor cured slowly was straight up Skunky Lemon citrus. Buds were COVERED in Trichomes too! After grinding it up you'd see what looked like sand on the tray....
And hearty to say the least considering the snow I was knocking off my plants each morning....Lost maybe 2 smaller buds (They were "only" the size of my fist.....Compared to the rest that wasn't shit) so again..... You may not want to breed with that, but you can sure as hell smoke it!
Tell him you'll trade some Citrus MILF fems for those nasty old Detroit Lemonades lol "you dont want those bro, you should let me get those back and save you the trouble of all those pesky herms that were reported".

Brother, if you like it -I love it. Thats all that matters. I feel like people can sometimes get hung up on origin too much. Im not saying origin isnt a factor but everything started from seed at one point. Hell, one of my favorite strains (Gorrila Glue #4) was nothing short of a happy accident that spawned from someone hunting some hermie seeds. If the legendary "13 seeds" of Chemdog is true then yeah it's kind of hard to imagine hermie seeds being somehow bad. I kind of feel like hermie traits could probably be recessed by running the seeds generation after generation without outside stressors that caused them but I can't prove that lol. I mean I've for Chem D that is said to be one of the original 13 seeds and it's one of my all time favorite strains. I just watch my plants best I can and do what I can until it's time to smoke the amazing results I'm not as concerned with if it's bag seeds.... 3 GMO plants right now all came from a bag but whoo! They smell so good

@HydroRed - Yeah, it worked well ! I followed your suggested spray schedule and it took a total of 5 sprays. I dusted a BBHP and also an Orgi that had both been in bloom for about 18 days. There was some leftover dust so it went into the freezer for some currently unknown project in the future.
