So this "two pile" conversation caught my attention. Ive never heard of that method before but I think i get the gist of it. Going to give it a try!

Way back @spyralout asked me to post a tutorial on how I roll but I cant really figure out how to show folks since I always need one hand to operate the camera lol.

But to give you an idea, I snapped a few pictures here...

Basically I start holding the paper in my left hand then drop the crutch in there. I add my ground up weed (and dry sift in this instance), essentially in the shape I want, so just a bit wider than the crutch on the left and increases in girth as I move to the right 20230128_215736.jpg 20230128_215853.jpg

Then I hold the paper with my index fingers at the back and my thumbs at the front and start rolling from the left. I find it helpful to keep the right side of the paper a little higher than the left so the herb naturally settles into the cone shape while I spin. Its also really important to tuck the paper around the crutch here so it stays tight 20230128_215911.jpg

Then I kind of just roll the joint in a single motion, moving my thumbs to the right. When its done my left thumb is in the middle of the paper 20230128_215925.jpg

If its a little loose Ill give the whole thing an extra spin, making sure to keep the edge of the paper tucked. And thats about it.

Time to smoke some weed.

Time to smoke some weed.
I roll cone spliffs similar to this. What I do is fold the paper in an angle smaller to the left. Then do the same thing.
Lol back in the day this cute hippy chick that worked for me at the Indian casino. She lived in the hills. She told me they were riding like 3 deep on a bench seat in her uncle’s stick shift truck. She had a bit of weed broken up and she couldn’t roll. He said give that to me. Then he rolled a joint in one hand while shifting lol ?

Yup I was one of the lucky ones to be able to buy one from @Phylex when he was offering some up?
Man I miss brother @Phylex. I was lucky enough to meet him several times. Scholar and a gentleman. Every time we met up he had a care package all Xmas gift wrapped. I drove two hours each time to meet up w him, he drove about 1.5 hours. He’s onto other ventures but I still wanna meet up w him one day. Such good ppl.

No lie me and my buddy both used to do this, and for the same reason, chicks who couldnt roll. Id roll one handed in my left, steer with my knee and shift with my right, whipping around in my baby blue 92 Isuzu Pickup, which I miss dearly to this day. They werent cones though, dont think I couldve pulled that off lol

Baby blue ?
img (1).jpeg Looked just like this one. Dont trip though, thing was a tank and a blast to drive! Had a 3.1L GM V6 with the 5 spd manual, solid front and rear axles with manual hubs and just BARELY enough room to cram a set of 30s on it stock. Basically a Trooper in truck form. Paid $500 for it with only 50k miles on it off a body shop where my friend worked. He had been using it for parts runs and nobody wanted it.

It was so nimble and torquey Id get further down the trail than lifted jeeps with that thing. It was a sad day when it died. Still ran great, but it was so rusty from using it to launch dinghies in the salt water the frame actually snapped in half one day when we tried to put it on my buddys lift.

Ive been looking for one in decent shape for years but theyre basically extinct it seems. Werent many to start with and they rust away pretty quick around here. Much like early Toyotas they werent designed with salted winter roads in mind.

Im all stoned and waxing nostalgic now but that truck was also how I learned to drive stick. I was a broke ass teenager and needed a vehicle on short money, had never driven a manual at all... bought that thing and drove it home, stalling and pissing people off behind me the whole way haha. That poor clutch.

Looks like RAW screwed the pooch

This is really interesting! I recently bought 4 packs of papers at a local spot, 2 RAW Black Hemp and 2 OCB Virgin Hemp. The RAWs were twice as expensive, but as I was using them I was like, these are exactly the same as OCB. What were they charging me double for?? Theres virtually no noticeable difference.

I was a little salty over it, and now seeing this, I think Im gonna stick with my OCBs for the time being

So I was thinking about this thread today because Ive settled on a go to rolling paper after all this trial and error ...

Schitts Creek Comedy GIF by CBC

And its the OCB virgin papers! They burn great, have no flavor, are easy to find and are cheap to boot.

In Bloom
Someone mentioned King Palms in this thread and I cringed.. I find King Palms absolutely disgusting, it imparts a nasty taste that over powers the taste of the flower. I'm mostly a bong guy but once in awhile I'll grab cigarillos like Game's to roll a blunt. I'm not a big fan of rolling papers, they burn too fast imho.
