After reading
@Gentlemancorpse first rolling paper review I was intrigued to find someone else asking the very same question I was....
For me Once I found Raw classics and the prerolled tips I stopped looking for anything else, but like most people who have had something so repetitively I started to ask if there is better out there. Could there beis it even possible to top Raw?
To start this search for my favorite paper I started out with a recommendation from one of my friends and I also saw someone on this forum mention them.
OCB premium 1 1/4”

The Logo (OCB) on the booklet is actually an acronym for the history of the company.
O-Odet
C-Cascade
B-Bollorè
Originally owned by Bolloré Technologies, The first paper mill was built in Erguè-Gabèric, on the banks of the Odett river in north western France in 1822.
Then in 1893 Bollorè Technologies rented a factory in Cascade which they bought 24 years later to focus on making cigarette papers.
In 1918 the OCB brand was created to reperesent the history and impact the company had on rolling papers.
In 1999 they released the OCB premium line (as pictured above) this is what put the brand OCB on the map with the first ever extra thin rolling paper that was actually semi transparent.
Then in 2000 Don Levin owner of Repubic tobacco and customer of Bollore since the early 60s bought the OCB brand and factory it was produced at. OCB continues to be produced by Repubic tobacco to this day.

I really like the packaging, first off the OCB premium line has 30 different styles of holographic lettering on the front of the booklet which makes it really pop out in the store.

The papers are as they say “ultra” thin, with watermarks all over the place. The papers are made from natural flax plant fibers which allow them to make them the thinnest possible while still being sturdy and slow burning. The glue strip is made of African Aciaia gum and supposed to be tasteless while staying

As for the rolling these are a breeze, very strong and durable all while still super thin. I was worried about ripping it but to my surprise she rolled perfectly and stuck like a fucking champ. Another plus is the OCB premiums come with 50 crutches (one for every paper) that are perforated. Personally I love the perforated crutches because my hard ass fingers have trouble folding that harder paper into an “M” then rolling it. Those little cuts make it so nice.
I couldreally taste the notes and goodness of whatever I rolled up. No burnt off notes I do get the smallest hint of black liquorice though when i dry hit my joint before lighting it, then again the first few nice drags. It wasn’t unpleasant and no one else except me tasted it but As I continued to test these I definitely was tasting black liquorice from the papers not the weed.
My overall experience with these was excellent I went through the whole pack not ripping a single paper or having to trash one. Every single one was rolled and smoked..I mean how often does that actually happen that you don’t waste one?
These OCB premiums burn extremely slow and don’t run at all with a nice tightly rolled doob. You just spark and enjoy like a manufactured cigarette. As for a ranking i only have my preferred papers to compare to right now but I seriously enjoyed these, from the ultra thin slow burning to the extra strong glue hold and proper packaging. These are gonna be up there I feel if didn’t have my preferred paper I would definitely pick up a pack of the OCB premiums. I do want to find out where that black liquorice flavor was coming from though because that was the one thing about them that put these beneath my preferred paper.
Taste:Mild except for that (liquorice)
Glue Hold: Strong
Ease of use: Easy
Cost: US $2.50/pack
Recommendation: I would for sure recommend these to someone that wanted to try a super thin paper. These are honestly the thinnest paper I’ve ever rolled with. But as far as taste I get thrown off by that off note I detected. I have a very sensitive pallet and others didn’t notice it but I had it with every paper I tried if theirs.
