A Hundred Plants of Solitude

Got sick of waiting and checked on the ones not up. Two weren’t coming up, one I killed looking for, and the others should come up. So, three are pulled and five others should come up in the next day or so. I’ll give them a good spraying whenever they need it for awhile with a lighter feed. I’ll update once per week or so from here on out. If you have a question or something, ask away.

Just killed another seedling that was on its way up. Looked like it had lost its head, but it was maybe still holding on. No time for nonsense though. Ha.

Honestly expected about ten or so at least of these seeds to be duds, but only two is nice. The microbe/fungi mix I put them in can get a little tough for them to get through sometimes and that’s what took the head off of the MVP I just officially killed.

A room tour would be nice. DTW? Light type, nutrient breakdown, must haves, could do withouts...

DTW. Lights are ten bars, 1000W max, Samsung 301b and Osram 660 with Meanwells. Use Jack’s with tap water. I’ll use kelp, aminos, MSA, fulvic, and some yucca at different points and whatnot. Only things that are must haves are lights, coco, containers to grow in, part A, part B, Epsom, and pH down.

One side done. Other side is cleaned, but I’ll fill bags and transplant the others tomorrow.

I may not set the drippers up this go and just feed them by hand, since I’m always around these days. I’ll put a garbage can on a moving dolly, fill the garbage can up with tap water, mix everything in, throw pump with tubing and watering wand attached in, and water them all. I also have a three gallon sprayer to go in and give the tops a spraying and whatnot. Doing it this way allows me the ability cater to the ones that are finicky a tiny bit more and I don’t have to worry about pumps and lines and so on. We shall see…

Just thought I’d mention that I have no interest or plans to do any chucking or breeding. Once I buy a house next year I’ll do seed runs of any keepers I come across just to have the genetics saved in case something happens to the mom, but that’s it for me. I think it’s fun growing seeds when you’re not selling or anything and I hate seeded bud. Ha.

No Gabriel Garcìa Màrquez fans out there? Amazing writer. One Hundred Years of Solitude is a great read in English or Spanish. Love in the Time of Cholera and others are exceptional pieces as well. Hit up the local library and give him a read.

Went to put bamboo stakes in each bag and realized it would be a pain in the ass watering with the wand with them in the way. Drippers are handy. Ha.

Impello Biosciences have a new Si product people may be interested in. I haven’t used their stuff in a bit, but they were always a pleasure to deal with and their stuff was quality. The product is named Dune.

Yeah, they sent me a preorder discount code, but I didn’t see a place to preorder or see prices when I looked. I have a decent amount of other Si products to use up first anyways. Stuff lasts quite awhile unless you get scammed into the PowerSi nonsense. Foliar applications every 7-10 days with a good Si product is plenty. 5-7ish foliars for a whole run doesn’t add up to much product being used, but if you’re mixing it in with your nutes for every fertigation it adds up quickly.

Went ahead and flipped them today. Gives me twelve weeks of 12/12 on New Year’s Day, so I’ll at least have some nice flowers to look at during the holidays if they’re not ready to come down by then.

I water them every other day. Until they stretch some, I just hold the watering wand two to three feet above the plants and let it rain down on them. Not much going on.

Watering them every three days currently. Looking healthy and happy. Not seeing anything sex wise on the ones I’m checking. Probably another week or so for that to start popping up. Missed the foliar yesterday, but got them today. Pic update on Monday.
