Right on! The mighty @Skunky Dunk Farms rocking out another PH seed run. Sweet. You are amazing for taking the time and space to do this for the community! Thank you and rock on brother!

Lol, thanks man!
I just like to grow stuff.
Now my wife, she's not really feeling the extra space/cost but the more varieties we aquire she's getting a bit more relaxed about it all.

Hell ya skunky! Awesome germination especially coming from supposed 1990 long term stored seed stock~

I wish I could find a more detailed description of how and where Real Seeds got the Afghaan seeds, there doesn't seem to be much information available online, just that the seeds on offer were made "directly" from seeds purchased in 1990. Were they always held by one person, acquired directly from the individual who purchased them, or something else? What kind of packaging were they in when acquired, how many seeds did the reproducer acquire, and how many were used to make these Afghaan 90 seeds? I've got plenty of questions but I'm not finding a lot of answers online. Might be worth asking about and see what Real Seeds has to say .

I contacted Angus @ The Real Seed Co and this is his explination of lineage.

hi SD,

Thanks for getting in touch

As per the description, the Afghaan 90 was acquired by us c. 1990 in Amsterdam, then stored

I don't exactly know what you mean by "how many times has it been reproduced?"

The strain has clearly been inbred in Holland for at least a few years pre. 1990

In other words, it's not a "landrace", which is why we sell it as an "heirloom"

Anything else, let me know

Best wishes,

Angus
