AITR F5 - Afghan in the Raw Preservation

So,I gave them a quick dunk in distilled water, with a little peroxide, and a new filter after my last post.

Anyone think they could still use a tumble in a sand paper tube? Or think it would be detrimental?

I can get soil warmed up and ready. Probably do starter nursery 4 packs with a soil/coco mix, 1g mega crop per gallon,(about 1/4 strength) and orca.

Any suggestions beyond or instead of that are welcome, as long as I have the stuff you recommend on hand already lol

Otherwise, I'll get the nursery packs ready and warmed up sometime tonight, before bed.

Alright, still uncracked, they went into soil a minute ago.

They're in 50/50 cheap soil and coco, with 1/4 strength mega crop, and at least a dose worth of orca. Covered with plastic wrap, with a breather hole poked over each spot.

Everyone cross your fingers, toes, and eyes!

Unfortunately, nothing. ?
They're still out there, but I'm not very hopeful now, after a couple weeks.
I was starting to think it was something I was doing wrong, because none of the Shotgun Willies I popped before that sprouted either, but the Skunk#1 from you that I started a few days ago have all cracked and are ready to plant.
Super bummed about the Afghans, but it happens, I guess.

Yeah thats a bummer to happen.
I was interested in these for sure.

Yeah, I guess so. They were only a few years old, so I expected them to be at least somewhat viable. Never thought they'd go 0/13.
I'm debating digging them, or at least some, up, just to see if they're still hard, or rotted out, but I dunno.
Those Shotgun Willies, Kinetic said were getting old, but should've been viable too.
They also went 0/10. I have 2 packs left, fingers crossed...

That’s a bummer man. It was probably old beans but could also be hot soil. I wouldnt add mega crop or anything but water until after they come up. Coco coir is usually high in salts and needs rinsed before using(especially the cheaper bricks). You may already know all of this but it just came to mind while reading. Good luck man.

Thanks for stopping by, fellas!

Good points, KK, thanks. The coco was soaked a few days before hand, with the same 1/4 strength MC and orca. The soil is cheap hardware store stuff, so shouldn't have had any extra ferts in it, but it's always a possibility that it was a little hot, but...
That's usually what I start everything with, from seeds to clones, and most usually make it through fine.
Before the Shotgun Willies and Afghans went 0 on germination, I started 18 various types, and 17 came up just fine... And 5 of 6 Skunk 1 I just wet this week have already sprouted tails, waiting to be planted.
I'll plant them in the same medium, and see what happens, but I'm guessing they should be ok... But we'll see...

That would be awesome if you did @Capt's Farm!

I'm on the hunt for replacements also. It is a bummer, but anything worth something is never easy. I'm sure this won't be the last occurence of something like this in the life of this project.

If any of you have a line, shoot me a PM.
