Am I banned???

I have no idea why i was banned from there as well. Only thing that i could possibly think of is i invited a couple of members to PH but that was in PM's so he would have had to look at the PM's. Not sure on the evolution theory as well. Sound more like a dictatorship to me. That is really low life spying on PM's and totally unacceptable.

its been brought to my attention that mods do read PM's, especially on RIU. a member had been shaken down for advertising money because they were just giving out beans, all via pm's.

That type of fuckery does NOT and will NOT fly here at pH. We are HUGE advocates of privacy and safety. It makes my skin crawl just thinking about this. Sadly, many are just unaware or just don't care any more with all the privacy invasive tactics and devices out there.

I appreciate that very much here, especially because some of us are still in the drug war. Personally, I scrub every photo before posting, vpn, mozilla, security addons. Anything to make sure I can continue to be anchored in my passion. Glad others feel the same. ?✊

I take photos with my iPhone as it has a decent camera. There's an app called Metapho that shows you all the information stored on your photo and lets you wipe the exif/metadata. $3 for the app though. Small price to pay for the extra peace of mind.

If you have admin power on a forum all PMs are readable. Essentially all you need is db access.

I use the free version and is designed to View, edit (or remove) EXIF data and GPS location of photos.
After I take pics with my phone (GPS location off) I open the photo editor and import photo I want "scrubbed". It took a bit to figure out how to use, but seems to work good.

For piece of mind - we have implemented extra security measures (beyond the stock capabilities of the forum software) where all jpeg and png photo files are stripped of EXIF along with other metadata. This was announced in the Site News thread and since then was improved even further by the addition of png files. jpeg remains the most common photo file format. So any photos being posted on pH already have this security feature

There's alot of basics you can do on your own phone with most of em. Mine does anyways.
Turn off the geotag locator on your phone is a big one. Most have it.

Hes just saying that your photos are even safer here because of the "data" that folks are trying to strip their pics of already gets stripped automatically as soon as you upload them on this site. Its a great feature that the owner came out of pocket on to make this site just that little bit safer than anywhere else.

Just a feature that keeps any id of who took the picture, and where it was taken from happening. Just like how the CC companies don't show the full number on the statements they send out. Lol.
