Banshee’s Bud Bordello

So, I figured I had better start a grow journal now that my rooms are finished and running!! Bud room is 8x8 and veg is 6’7”x8. I’m currently under powered on lights, but I will slowly add to them. Plants were getting out of control so I had to get them in flower. Two 315 cmh with a cheap, Marshydro LED....I think 100 actual watts. From my figures, I have around 30 watts/sqft (just the 8x3
, not the whole room!).

The flower room has Brainstorm, Forest Dream and Glueberry OG all from Dutch Passion in Amsterdam. These were seeds that I had purchased before I did research and found local breeders....another reason they were thrown into flower....using them as a practice run since this is my first ever indoor grow through flowering. The tall lanky one in the middle is Durban Poinson. This came from seeds that I found in a bag of DP, grew them outside last year and one girl had one bean! She’s going to be the problem one with as tall as she is?.

Nutrients are Biothrive bloom with Zen Products Calmagnon, Molashish and Zen Strength(silica). At three weeks in, according to Zen, I will drop the molashish and switch to Candyman....a terp builder. Being this is my first run, I’m going to stick to their feed schedule/regimen and adjust from there.

The veg/mom room. I have Lemon Venom, Orange Sherbet and Wedding Cake....clones I got from Overgrow Solutions when I did a clone class. I also have a Frisian Duck from Dutch Passion and four Lift Ticket plants from Swamp Donkey seeds.....one of these will be in the 420 contest....just waiting on sex!

The one I hope is a female for the contest! I numbered them by first tail and vigor when they popped. This was #1 of 5 and it is nice and full! The other lift tickets are somewhat stretchy.

Here are the other three. Sadly, number four didn’t break dirt, so we only have 1, 2, 3, and 5.

Thanks for peaking and hopefully I will be able to keep this somewhat updated. Life is busy and this is a “hobby” I’ve wanted to do for a longtime and jumped in up to my neck!

Alright...I’m going to make an honest attempt at keeping a full Grow journal this time! I will us my four, 3Thirteen Sin N Juice seeds.
August 2, all four cracked and had tails after only 48 hours in wet napkin! The other three were from another source that has failed twice now.

August 5th they are stretching.

August 9th I had to add dirt to prop them up. Two were standing strong-ish and the other two were a little weaker. All went well and they are loving it!

They are in Fox Farms Ocean Forest and just getting water at the moment. Fingers crossed, I get a couple good females!

Last night I moved 9 Wedding Cake clones in to the bud room. I am growing these ones short because I am going to do a nutrient test. Three are getting only water, some compost top dressing when needed and calmag if needed. Want to try and stick with just water as much as possible. Three will get just the General Organics base nutrients and calmag if needed. The last three will get the full line of base and additives.

The water only plants are the tallest of the bunch at 20” tall! While they look as healthy as the rest, with the see through 2liter bottles, the roots are not as prominent as the others.

The base nutrient specimens are a little shorter at an average of 19”. One has a really good root system but the others aren’t too far behind.

The full line recipients are an average height of 19.5”. The roots are jamming right along even though I ran out of BioThrive root additives :brainfart:

They are all the first ones to hang out under the new LED strip lights. Can’t wait to see this paired with the CMH’s on either side!

Looks like you did a nice job on those grow rooms. It is so nice to have rooms with that much space. @Z71banshee what kind of pots do you have there?

@Capt. C they are just 2 liter bottles with the tops cut off. Spent so much on the room itself, didn’t have money for pots! Hahaha!! Just using these to run this test. Couldn’t return bottles due to covid, so I just repurposed them.
I thought that is what they were. I know you are just testing stuff but the roots exposed to light like that could create some issues. You might think about thinking of something you could cover them with. I remember seeing someone cover there's in black electric tape. Not criticizing just a helpful hint. I am very jealous of your new rooms. Really nice setup.

Thank you for that input @Capt. C! I was curious about light exposure on the roots. Didn’t know if it would or could affect them. I chose clear so I could watch root growth, so maybe I will find some black cloth to cover them with. Then I will still be able to check the roots periodically. Thanks again, Capt!

That sounds like it would work fine with the cloth. I did that years ago with solo cups i set a clear one inside a regular one so you could just lift the clear one up to look at the roots. Pretty cool how much root growth you get in a 2 week period when you can watch it with something like that.

Wow! 5 months since I’ve updated.....a lot has happened! Lol. Let’s bring this current and stay on top of it.
Last night I buried 5 Obi’s Kryptonite and 4 Bubblegum x Purple Star x Columbian. They were all freebies with orders. Obi’s is from Heat Makers and the breeder is unknown on the other. 5 for 5 on the Obi’s and 4 for 6 on the other. They all look relatively healthy and strong.

Obi’s... 75E4AE9A-02AF-4A90-9087-727C3FAAD0D5.jpeg E128EED3-8A6F-4A83-8C3A-EE723A795363.jpeg

In my bud room I have two wedding cakes, two Sin N Juice, Strawberry Banana and Orange Sherbet.

Wedding Cakes are the big ones in the back, SNJ on the rack to the left, SB up front with a poorly done manifold (first attempt) and the OS in the bonsai pot. The OS was a cut I wanted to keep for a mom. The smoke was lackluster at best, so it was just something I was playing with.

Here’s a nice top nug of WC at day 32!

Obi’s Kryptonite (in red solo cups) and Bubblegum x Purple Star x Columbian (in black pots) two weeks after the tails showed. They seem to be jamming right along under two Marshysro 600’s (100w at wall). 5ECBC80A-C015-4CAA-9279-9707050A5604.jpeg B3BC034C-BF65-49EE-A465-20E0FA1AA5FA.jpeg 852E5A0B-6D4E-44E8-A517-77861B1E5C78.jpeg 2624AAE5-F27B-4DD4-989A-CF2202F67BD8.jpeg
the little guy in the middle is a Now And Later bean that a buddy found in some smoke he got from a dispensary. She is one week since her tail showed.
On the BGxPSxC, what would cause the leaves to seem wilted and “wrinkled”? Is it gentics that could cause that or over/under watering? They seem healthy with those fat ass leaves!!

The "wrinkles' could be a handfull of things. One could be overwatering, or humidity, or genetics like you mentioned just to name a few. I had an FPOG that grew out far worse than yours from sprout to harvest. She was the only one of the bunch in the same flood tray so it was 100% genetics.

We have a place not to far from my house that manufactures countertops and desk tops. Anything that doesn’t pass quality control gets set out by the road for free. I have a STACK of these things, so I decided to make a low table for the bud room. Number one reason, so I don’t have to bend over so much....drywall has taken its toll on my lower back. 4FE556CC-0F71-4B40-8689-D3013BC052E5.jpeg
If I keep the plants in these 2 gallon buckets, which seem to work really well for me, I can fit quite a few on the table. Should make life a little easier!
