These girls are just getting into week 3 and smell nothing like I though they would. Both have a dominant anise aroma going on. One sweeter and smells almost like a glass of absinthe. The other is a raunchy licorice, which I think is going to get super gassy as the weeks go on.
First pic is the smaller sweeter one, and the second is the tall foul one.

Detroit Heat starting week 4, looking like they are gonna start putting on some weight pretty soon.
And here we have a mix of Ancient OG F5 and Ancient OG Project (Ancient OG F2 x Ancient OG F4) from Mother Lode Seeds. These were soaked for 24 hours and put into the pods yesterday and already 11 of 12 have already popped up! Really excited to see what these do. I will most likely do an open pollination with these to make some stock to play around with.

Been a long busy week and I haven’t really had time to really appreciate any of my plants. I didn’t even notice that one of the Ancient OG Projects is a whorled phyllotaxy. First time growing a plant with this mutation. From what I’ve read it doesn’t really pass down when bred, but I may try just for shits and giggles. Anyone have any experience breeding with them?
Looking good so far, lots of purple stems which I was told is common in these. Can’t wait to see what they do!

My drying space wasn’t regulated as well as it usually is, I chopped the Nag Champa at 63 days. After 7 days hanging it was a dry as I would have trimmed anything normally, but I’m not too upset. The atmosphere will be a lot better regulated in a jar, because the temps in my area have been fluctuating quite a bit, so the room isn’t as consistent. She still smells great and I took a little nug to test, gonna eat dinner and see what she’s all about for dessert! Insane floral bouquet smells, with fruity gummy candy, should be some real lip smacking smoke? Will report back after I smoke a bowl or two!

Man this just blew my mind, when burned it smells like fresh cut bougainvilleas. The smoke and flavor are intensely rich, almost no sweetness. Not even remotely similar to the scent at all. This was with no cure, but it was like nothing I have tried before.
On another note, just the one tiny lower I took had eight nice looking beans in it! Looking like I will get some more to play with than I thought

Was so focused on trimming and jarring the Nag Champa last night forgot to post these girls going into week 5 out of what looks like 9-10. Getting frostier by the day!

Also here are the mature seeds I have saved so far, these are just from the smallest nugs. I was thinking I was gonna get more than I thought and now I don’t know lol. Not sure how much the Lerry Chimes dumped, but I’m guessing I’ll have a little over 100 to look through. If I find anything good I will definitely make some F2’s. These will be popped as soon as I flip the 7Hills for the @Frimpong contest?

Update on the seed collecting from the Nag Champa. So far there are more than 50 fully matured beans, looking nice and healthy. Still have a little more to go through then all the plant material is going into edibles.

Really digging the fade on this Detroit Heat, and if she tastes anything like she smells the smoke is going to be phenomenal. The smell is still dominantly anise, but there was always something lurking underneath that I just couldn’t put my finger on until today. Unmistakable fresh lime cut through perfectly, and it compliments the absinthe scents wonderfully. Got me drooling just thinking about it. I really wish I was better about taking cuts, but I didn’t even really think to since I got these as testers.
