Im looking to buy a good but affordable vaporizer. Im not talking about those little shit piles for flavored juices, I mean a real vaporizer like the "Volcano" or something along those lines.
I'd like mine to have a digital temp readout as well. What should I get and how much is it?

Kinda depends on what you are looking for, portable or desktop, session or on demand, ect. Personally I find a digital readout unnecessary, it's easy enough to find a temp that works for you on an analog dial, the Digi readout is just one more thing that can break.

I'm a bit biased, but I think that the e-nano is one of the best price to performance vapes on the market, but that might be because it fits how I like to smoke perfectly.

One important thing people overlook before they buy is ease of cleaning. Anything that just loads up a glass stem is gonna be WAY easier to clean than something that has an oven to load.

Have a peak at some of the threads on FC Vaporizer Review Forum there is a lot of great info on all kinds of vapes over there. Kind of gives you an idea of what to expect.

Something I picked up over many devices, mechanical devices are prone to failure. Had a friend who's volcano stopped working. So he bought the new hybrid. I opened the "Cano", found the switch that was failing, replaced it, rock n roll. He didn't want it so I sold it for $300. Thee are used ones all over the place also, unless you need a brand new one..

I got my volcano on ebay. 170 bucks. Threw out the used accessories and bought a replacement pack for 40. So 210$ for my volcano. Lol I'm cheap.

Personally I am guy shy on the portables, It was not cheap but I loved the Firefly when it came out, but got tired of buying batteries that did not last. I liked it a lot but it now just collects dust. If it would work while charging I would still use it but I am not spending another nickel on crummy batteries. I hate making poor purchases.

I have a Volcano that I bought used about 5 years ago, it takes whatever I throw at it. I was not that hot on the Volcano bag method but it just works without problems.

I am sure there are portables with better battery design but producing heat requires power, AC power makes sense for a home unit. Less to go wrong. No waiting for batteries to charge.

I too had the FireFly was meh for me...same reason batteries....I gave that thing away to a friend who thought it was cool because of the app..

Storz and Bickel have always done me solid, but never wanted to spend the money on a mighty...

I have my regular ecig, that I "tried to use as a portable", and of course the "greedy" atomizer for my ecig that I dont use anymore..

Would you want something to go through water, or just dry/native?

Logs (e-nano, woodscents, ect) can do both with a gong, if you plant on only going through water you can configure a weed eater flowerpot for a bit more. If you like storz and bickel, there is the volcano, or plenty if you don't like bags.
No water. Just something simple, easy to use and easy to clean. I'd probably lean toward glass as I feel it would be easier to clean along with the longevity (long as I dont break it haha)
