if u can, get ur plants access to communicate and also have the benefits of being in ground,

I only quoted the first sentence, although I thoroughly enjoyed the entire discourse.

I appreciate your viewpoint on these things, and I like reading about it.

Certainly, I see my 'dirt-pile', (as the kids call it) as a living thing.
I give it my time, I know it, and I even miss it a little bit in the winter.

My plot is about 8x20. My favorite station is where I pile all the macro stuff. Xmas tree, broken hardwood branches, timothy hay, aspen shavings, paper bags, egg cartons,,, you get the idea. Come fall, I cap it up with bushels of Elm leaves.
It is like a pocket universe. Becomes infested with every level of the food chain. I love to see the blooms fungus and webs mycos. Those leaves are magic. Centipedes and spiders, and all manner creatures.
And the worms BH !
Nothing ( next to a 12V battery) brings in those night crawlers like leaf litter.

I do agree that so many essential functions are facilitated by having a toe into the good earth.
My water is high ph, like yours.
Creeps up to 250 ppm.
Growing hydro and coco starting out, I was plagued by rusty and yellow leaves.

You guys ever add Recharge to the soil to give the microbes a boost ? Experimenting with that and pot ash this year. The Sugar Daddy I give my plants helps feed them but I'm just getting into helping the soil create an ecosystem.

i actually got a free 5or 6lb of it by the owner ( Scotty real @ dgs) and did a compare with it like 3 or 4 years ago vs raw microbe and roots organic bio-force. recharge was no match and it made 100% sense, the population and species count for recharge is way lower and cost per lb is if not same. Tbh I’ve looked so countless brands and recharge wasnt in my top 5 ever cause it just doesn’t hit enough hit numbers compared to others for same price to be my bought product. Just being honest

look at the back of ur bag and also google ur species as a suggestion and look at bioforces and any that are not on ur bag read, you’ll know why I pick bioforce than! not I’m;y does it have drought, heat, defende and multi intakers like p/k and chitin intakers but the trich fungi is also there.

( I sprinkle in the raw n-k and monthly apply to flower ) + use bioforce whole time till last 3-4 weeks before chop
Vs recharge

oh members like you could take my time anyday and time cause I really enjoy and love talking to ya!

people can claim all they want but when I see 3-6% terp profiles consistency indoors and out and I only saw 1-4% max on 100’s of pheno’s when I tried non organics no matter what pheno and same pheno’s in organics did better, the results show and also plants and resistance to pest/mold and stress is also another stress peg removed from growing. And that’s a huge one !

i could see as a ag grower if the plant isn’t profitable and u can’t pay workers to water them than maybe organics would be hard to achieve at first , but that is also because these people destroyed their land to not going organics ( shoot before the ag take over all was organics lolz) , like I said even large scale if farmers wasn’t following the companies words and getting into their lies of easy sucess vs organics they could be growing water only m better tasting crops and for usa not only growing tax given corn and gmo soy mostly. It’s fucked up majority of veggies in usa are grown far away and trucked there. What a counter farming /produce way of doing stuff when majority of these states could grow their own if the government and people said enough is enough. Grow us legit veggies and localized fruit. I mean have u tried majority of these commerical veggies ‘fruit vs local even if it’s not organic ? Tasteless ( many doc say also way less nute value ) so many times but also their strains are by looks/shelf life. I get it they need that but there def can be a better medium cause I’m not buying taste, ess veggies and fruit lol

just sayings I’m willing to pay more for better plants grown and grown semi locally if possible vs acting like it’s not possible and allowing all our land to be contaminated including water for something that does nothing but help the 1% and corp side. it wasn’t intill we allowed some major lobbied and 1% like Monsanto to make this acceptable practice and logical farming vs growing real food and not fucking our land/water. shoot in last 30 years cause of choices like that is why our world has been more fucked over perm than any war , virus or plague and disease prolly all time combined and sad part is a lot of this damage could of been 100% avoided and was warned by truly smart and people who knew the rights and what the end results. this is also why I disagree why we allowed gov to be so involved with stuff they def shoumdt make the final say, lobbyism for such is sooo dangerous! Not trying to be political or debative but this is such dishonorable but also shouldn’t even be a debate ?

same with weed quality , idc anymore if I make a dime cause after growing and making sure my process/cure is prime goal and I couldn’t rely on others weed, majority Of cannabis like veggies isn’t grown to my standards but also process/cure isnt done correctly . I’d admit it made me like a wine/cigar taster/tester , but iits so easy to spot when mistakes are done now and it’s sad so much cause of cash exp for cannabis is neglected on a few steps tbh. like veggies/fruit I hope cannabis being corp driven right now they can also realize quality cannot be bought but also skip natures steps to achieve , u can buy as many expensive bottles and have milllions in a built facility but I don’t think u can skip natures cemented needs to achieve a true plants desire and need for bacteria/fungi relationship and that nature medium of ecosystem. plus the lab tests show biologicals and micro nutes is way more boost for terps and potency than over pushing ur npk levels. It’s amazing how more I apply that’s alive less nutes I need and if not see better results by doing so and more sticky/potent and less stressed plants.

I get it I’m rambling but it’s the growing ocd passion thang. Love everything about it ( I’m sure family members and friends are sick of it too lol)

Good stuff last few days here, few comments.

@pwnytailjoe were it me, next season I'd pull about 1/3 out of each bed, keep the 3 good and 3 bad separate, refill/inoculate the 3 bad beds with the 3 good ones. If you can overwinter something on them you could probably do it this fall too. If is not environmental, it sounds like the microbial life is off in the bad beds, since you have good beds I reason you must also have good microbial life, there is a reason the other beds aren't/didn't support it but that may be they didn't have a chance from the get go. Inoculating with an established population like worm poop or compost or even just healthy soil is the best way to go imo.

You won't get true living soil via a bagged or bottled inoculant but I do think there are useful ones out there. One I keep coming back to after trying something new is photosynthesis plus. It has/lists both endo and ecto micros and it doesn't have the sugar that's in both that RAW product and revive and many others. I do see a species there in the raw product that isn't in photosynthesis plus tho...

I love hand watering but the troopf blusoak hose, sensing carrots and dripers have taken up long term residence in both my indoor and outdoor gardens.

Well it started raining and it’s in the 40f’s with 3 more days of this predicited ( crazy how majority of pheno’s don’t look phased lol) … so I made a decision as a farmer - fuck it I’ll fill my dry room and make sure at least the best part of the pheno (tops) are harvested. It was a good decisions cause by the end I literally was mounting plants to my timber led’s I did last time so I could fit more. Rooms filled . Which as a farmer makes me happy to see when I’m chopping , no molds like pm and zero bud rot. No pest issues On anything.

good thing is after this cold rain 3 days it’s going back to 50-60f’s and the lows are better than previous 40-50f’s and no rain after these 3 days for 12 days ( weather app)

yeeehaw

Yeah it's cold and raining here too. Some areas have snow lol. So far at least nothing is beaten up too bad though Thank God!

The temos are supposed to go up after a few days so I'll be watching closely as I have seen some Bud Rot here and there. Nothing major so I'm not complaining by far. Lost a few wet grams here and there. We got most of the Gelato #33 Seedling down, and the Chocolate Cheese is nice and plump but not quite ready yet so for now I'm leaving her out there to get some amber coloration.

The outdoor grow this time of year can get stressful but it's worth it :) Hope everything stays good on your end too bro.
