I'm not at the house right now, but I do have a pamphlet from the site we use to order our bugs from; We have used them twice now for Ladybugs, but they offer a lot more than those, I just don't have actual personal experience with their other species they sell, but so far, in two years of ordering, we have not ONCE had a single dead bug show up which I felt was pretty good myself.

they have a whole selection of different insects you can order, they show up in good packaging with a small food thing, and a moist piece of something for the bugs to drink water which helps keep them going, and they have nice clear instructions. Praying Mantis, Ladybugs of course, and they also have others.....I honestly can not remember the exact name so I'll have to check and find the form we have, but I've had excellent service, and no dead on arrivals which is nice. They also came with info about which products / bugs do what, and which ones you can use together (Mantis Eggs can be used with Ladybugs and so on since Mantis bugs generally won't eat Ladybugs) I'll see if I can find it for you though, it's a nice service in my opinion.

I just checked the site you posted and I see why you like that one; good selection! I'll see if I can dig the one out we use when I get back. I know this past season we ordered 3,000 Ladybugs and it was 10 dollars which, I have to say I feel that's a decent price.

That's pretty cheap really I bounce around on where to buy them . I add at least 3000 sometimes 4500 to the back room monthly during the spring and summer .They usually have moved on by then . From what I read with no food they move off pretty quickly. So I take that as a sign it's working. That and no bug problems in a year at least.

Yeah bro, most of my grow is outdoor so there's generally some form of insect to deal with, but I don't really like spraying my plants unless I really have to do so, and with the environment here in Michigan, the major issues that come up are generally PM, and Spider Mites, so Green Clean is my usual go to as it helps with the PM and the Mites too, but this year I decided to go with just Ladybugs, and see how far I could go without spraying, and, honestly, we only sprayed some of the plants, and only once, to deal with some of the PM. Ladybugs seemed to do a great job, and for 10 bucks it was hard to complain really. I had 30 plants outside and trying to spray a plant that I can't even reach the top of without a ladder, I can't even imagine how much that would have cost us, but a 10 dollar shipment of Ladybugs, which we kept in the fridge for like 2 weeks until it was required and good conditions worked really well. I put them out at night, and start by opening the mesh they send them in, and started at Soil level (They feed "up" so I put them low and let them go on their own) and then some at maybe mid level, and move on to the next plant.

We saved some for the inside tent the Father in Law had going but he sprays his with insecticide and all that, and it seemed like they didn't do very well. He had plants outside and inside and we put Ladybugs on all the outdoor, and in the tent he ran, but he sprayed his with Green Clean and something else, and I noticed NO real improvement as his were getting his worse than our plants were so I decided no to spraying until a few of our plants got that white nasty on some shade leaves, and those were the ones we sprayed with Green Clean, and we didn't lose a single one after that.

I did have ONE GMO seedling that got what looked like Rust Mold on it, but since I had two, and the one that had that was the smaller one, I just chopped it down and cloned the bigger more vigorous one. Normally the humidity is a bigger issue so I'm usually able to get by with just Ladybugs for the most part :)

For me, that's just personal preference; In my environment they work well for me, though I do need to look into better IPM than just Green Clean I admit. I've seen others here where Ladybugs didn't work well at all, but for outdoor in this part of Michigan, Ladybugs do a pretty good job. I honestly didn't have to spray for mites for the first time ever, all the while watching the Father in Law spray constantly, and seeing it not really help, which, some of that was probably because he didn't spray 3 days in a row as is recommended on the bottle, but the 10 dollar investment in Ladybugs was a lot cheaper than anything I saw. Don't get me wrong, I've seen it not work for others too, so, as with other things, it depends on the environment and what you want to do. I liked my results, but in another environment ? It may not work at all.

You're literally the first person I think of when I think of IPM, I know you are well versed in these things. My results were a bit surprising for me too honestly; I'll know in a few months if it was a fluke or not.

i tried to explain, all u had to watch. And if u did thats amazing to me u would want to progress into lady bugs, watch any modern real IPM Advice from aphids to mites, do u see them promoting lady bugs ? Only lady bugs Sellers do

A million thank you's to you my friend! ? ??.
Your garden is looking bonkers BTW, thanks for taking the time to share.
Great to hear and it’s always good to see that helped , stuff like that in gardening def can be heartbreaking but it also makes us as gardeners stronger if we progress and know how to fight and be progressive . Thanks for the kind words and appreciate you stopping by and checking out the garden !

Oh man I’ve been lost in all of this goodness for the last two days haha. Thank you for being so thorough!! I just finished 90% of my first run in living soil and had a baby so the tent got way out of hand, came back to soooo many fungus gnats and now thrips. kind of at At a loss on what to do so I’ve been reading up as much as I can here and I think I have an idea. Again thanks for sharing all the knowledge! I tried to find your updates on the grease but fell asleep before I could, I see you’re still using it so it must have been good on the first run?

Thanks for the love !
My non cemented review of grease is , why is both my first indoors and first outdoors with over 50 pheno’s even if they weren’t the best had more thrich coverage than I’ve seen in same situations ? what really sparked my interest is it just me or am I lucky? Cause these last rounds with grease and that was one of the only things besides genetics I changed. I hate sounding like a snake oil salesman and like I said previous I like to give 4-5 rounds to really cement stuff in before endorsing and giving a legit review. But did it spark my interest enough to continue buying it? Yes , have I bought products like mammoth p or bloom boosters and saw no difference, yes if anything with bloom boosters I saw cons and negatives to medium but also plant itself. I even own the purple label and gold and I’m testing the purple lable of grease , I wanna see the claims of adding purple . ive dropped so many costly fertilizers I’m willing to be adventurous, not like I’m trying terminator lol

i can’t say any product or any thing will cement greatness or sucess no matter what ( its a small piece of the pie to sucess ) cause so many factors can void the action or products end results. Ep process and cureing. I just have to say more I get involved with biologicals and feeding the medium but also not going crazy on high npk or boosters. ive tried so many brands and boosters and did it do more harm than good but also didn’t show better nugs? I would most 200% say I don’t endorse wasting cash on fancy boosters Inless u mean by booster non high npk .

look How people even will buy co2 bags or fancy bottles of nutes and in their minds this is the key to everything… in reality but their environment isn’t dialed or they are upping their ppfd and expecting this 3-5lb per 600 watt claims. like many things it’s knowing the functions but also the borders of how it works, I see so much for cannabis industry exp for the consumer they def endorse wrongly but also want to make it out of u buy it it will gain ur sucess or more yields. But like co2 or higher ppfd as an example if done correctly and genetics want it. Is it a good thing = hell yes but u can’t skip steps or have things off. Growing at higher ppfd, co2 ,nutes and temps works but if u aren’t u def can fry or do more damage than good

no dissing to anyone but how many times have u seen people be semi organic or use microbes and than u see they are using city water or using pathogen killer stuff in their medium or rez? They see the benefits but don’t realize the reality or functions and if not biggest thing as a gardener should be doing. Know the reason why u are using it but also best methods to be able succeed

best thing a farmer can do is keep it simple, know their enviroment and know A good sop and functions of how the plant works at its cycle. otherwise when stuff happens and ur just following blind a recipel do I actually know why or what and the modes of action? not trying to sound ocd but it’s best thing u can do is know the functions and sop!
