BH's Winter 25 - Spring 26 Indoor Journal

been 3 years since my reverse osmosis has gotten it’s membrane exchanged and 2 years since kdf or Sediment filters. what a trip, my whole system was slanted touching the wall and system itself so heavy to remove . so i reinforced the flow box to the wall and now the system itself is perfect and way easier to work on. The filters were insane sealed and it took over a hr just to remove the sediment and kdf filter. i grease good too but for future im gonnea remove filters when i stop growong so that issue wont occur hopfully

IMG_1380.jpegIMG_1383.jpegIMG_1391.jpegIMG_1392.jpegIMG_1395.jpegIMG_1396.jpegIMG_1402.jpeg
before membrane u purge kdf for 20-30 gal water. Has carbon dust and u dont wanna measure up ur membrane with that. Funny 😄 part i cut my tube from kdf to booster cause they are close to my booster but downfall is i dont have a temp tube to flush wish. Whole time purging since plumbing was only 2ft it wojldmt even fo into rez and wanted to spray wall. To fix this issue ill have a new tube thats 4-6ft and have it just for kdf purge

I tried a RO water filter system, but my water is so good and the amount of waste could not be justified.
Do you have water issues or just prefer RO water?
Well u did not specifically say what model u have cause many cheap models are like 2-4+ waste:r/o water . Mines 1:1 and I also use a booster pump to make my psi 150 (3-5x than normal), my model when booster on at higher temps is rated for 2k galls per day . My water is well water and very high in pathogens and super high in iron and many heavy metals and since I live in ag zone tons of farmers really have made my water iffy I wanna use. my ppm for my water is 350-400 ppm and ph 8.5. I can get my ppm 0-50 for 2-3 years in this system without replacments and being well water my pathogen rate is high and if u do mass clones or seedlings I really do noitce my sucess/death rate def shows if I don’t filter/ro and uvc clean my water . so yes I do have water issues and want 100% control of what I’m inputting and giving in my tea’s/drenches .

I even have a bigger system connected directly to my whole house and that reduces the cost of my r/o filters and one step preventive for my piping to drinking/water being cleaner . My whole house filter is tall filters like my r/o but pre sediment + sediment + ACB + KDF + xl uvc . this really helps but I still willing to use r/o for flower room & clones/seedlings (they are way more sensitive at that stage). if I could afford it I would even have r/o for my veg room but that’s 2x the filters and being I’m not doing hydro and plants look good I think I’ll just skip that.

* got flower room cleaned up, fans installed , r/o filter + membrane installed and my failed hlg 650 Diablo removed ( only 2 runs ), I’m gonnea buy a new ballast and see if it works?. next plan is clean hvac system ( at least 1 of 2) and install my new 750 Diablo ( where 650 was at). Plan is in 1-3 days max I’m moving all plants that are going to flower stage soon will be transferred from veg room to flower room.

All seedlings and clones moved from vegroom to flower room!!!!!!!!

Before moved

Hvac heat now set to 68f, once i got 50-75% of leds on and both deh on ill be set on temps. Replaced dehumidifier water drain hose and purchased new filters (quest 155 filter = merv 11 20x16x2). Plan is also replace hvac drain hose as well. Since i reuse my drain waste water i like to replace the tube once a year

+ some of my led’s were off so i drilled new holes with hooks and glued em up. Installed the leds and it def was worth the work .

Airoclean420 XL
20x uvc + hepa filter replaced and replaced

I’ll update ya later but some serious stuff is happening 😉

well here’s current “transplant” and weekly tea

✅ 55-GALLON LIQUID TEA (BIOLOGICALLY BALANCED)
🔹 BASE WATER
  • 55 gal RO / dechlorinated water
  • Strong aeration
  • Target water temp: 65–72°F
🔹 BREW PHASE (12–24 HOURS)
These go in during the brew
1️⃣ RAW NPK Silica
✔ Rate: ¼ cup per 55 gal
MOA:

  • Strengthens cell walls
  • Improves stress tolerance
  • Enhances disease resistance
🟡 Note: RAW silica is potassium silicate → keep pH in check
2️⃣ RAW NPK Cal/Mag

  • Regalia stimulates the plant to produce its own protective compounds like phytoalexins, pathogenesis-related (PR) proteins, and enzymes that strengthen cell walls.
  • SAR/ISR

🔹 FINAL pH
  • Adjust AFTER brew, BEFORE application / adding biologicals
  • Target: 5.8–6.3
  • Don’t chase exact numbers — stability > precision

⚠️ IMPORTANT CORRECTIONS SUMMARY

Item
Original
Recommended
RAW Kelp¼ cup⅛–¼ cup
Terp Tea Grow1.5 cups1–1.25 cups
BioWar Packs1 cup each½–1 cup each
You were not “wrong”, just pushing the upper edge where returns flatten and risks rise.

🧠 WHAT THIS TEA DOES OVERALL

  • Rapid microbial bloom
  • Efficient breakdown of frass & meals
  • Strong root signaling
  • Balanced vegetative growth
  • Pest-resistant rhizosphere
  • No antagonism between inputs
This is a professional-grade biological tea — not hobby level.

Moved final smalls ( besides seeds on shelf), also up-potted doubles to 5 gals and have em on side. indoors i really try to avoid waste sqft or ppfd on runts and if they appear later to suck replace. i have so many times in past played the game with allowing plants that suck to be in good zones or keep a prime bed just because. well even if i have to place a 5 gal double net to it and shade it if proven crappy np. key is not expecting when u spot crappy pheno to have that bed zone usable since in bloom. this is why also i have the movable 2x2 beds "city picker" so if seedlings or results show obvious diff in size and stretch i can reorganize from shortest-tallest zones. i used to do 4x8 tables with 5 gal pots. issue with trellis and seedlings if they arent same size or things hidden in spots u cant turn in 360 degree cause of trellis u def might get hermies u miss/pests/issues. i loved trellis for along time but i really love the 360 movable beds , even taking pics and examining the plants alive by moving them to non grow ppfd zone to look is nice.

Environmental updates/changes : Lowered Led's to max recommend close roughly but low dim %/ppfd. HVAC SET TO COOL Set @ 81F (only need 1 of 2 3 ton's on), Quest's DEH set to 70RH%, CO2 raised to 950PPM .

Cuttings + topping is the plan ASAP, i didnt want to take the clones intill the plants were into their new bed and new environment . shoot for being only 1-2 weeks in the beds that amazes me even the small ones have grown sooo much. i spent a lot of time cleaning the clone trays + domes with physan 20 and rinsing 2x times with uvc r/o water . those little things def help and it sucks if u do trays u see mass deaths by neglect on obvious needed protocol . every-time i neglect that i def see issues more than not. so glad i replaced my uvc and r/o's filters and membrane cause it was needed for this part and grow .
