These are from a 5pack of freebies attached to some good ol’ Briscos Bargain Beans so I knew I couldn’t go wrong. I’ve shown this gal before but god she is just coated in frosty resin and trichs.
My nose is messed up from allergies atm so no terp profile/aroma to go on about but just look at how beautiful she is. A little dark for my liking but still Grade fucking A in my book.

Thanks @Gentlemancorpse and @JL2G all great info. Im appreciative about the willingness to help.
So far I’ve test soil Ph was definitely off ranging from 7-8 so tomorrow I’m gonna do a slurry test and test the run off to make sure I check every box and get a better more accurate reading.

I also flushed the medium before but I’m beginning to think maybe it didn’t flush as much as just run the fuck out the bottom before the medium could really saturate and flush fully. It looked fully wet and was heavy but I’ve had plenty of times where I thought I watered to run off with these pots to pull the plant out a bit and see the sides are bone dry.
This is also my first time ever trying to take a plant the whole way to harvest in such a small pot that wasn’t an auto.

Im thinking I got a build up somewhere or a tox that is causing a lock out. I know my ph is a little high so I’m gonna fix that first then go from there and hit every point you guys said about

THE PLAN:
1.slurry/run off test
2.flush properly and let media rest to absorb all the water and truly flush out salt
3.if no change use only mag/P to make sure it’s not a calcium or N tox
4. Up pot.
5. Fuck it and harvest the bitch(last resort)
Heck yeah, good danged plan mang. ???

BINARY SELECTIONS
3pk mystery Freebies.. 2/3 are female one was male I wanted to keep it so damn bad but had nowhere to isolate it so he got the chop and bag.

Below are 3 pics of the same plant. She is just so beautiful with these giant purplish red bracts I had to get a shit of them. If anyone has an idea of the strain let me know. By the deep purple in it I was thinking a Nurple or Funkadelic cross both I’ve grown and both were absolutely gorgeous in fade.

COPPER ORGI S1 (chem Pheno)

about 3 weeks ago I took 20 clones and did and experiment with plain water, Aloe, and bonide root hormone/cloning powder.

the results blew me away and I learned I suck at cloning. And that Dipping the stems in diluted alcohol before dipping in a clone powder or Aloe is fucking pointless IMO.

These 2x clones Left pic is a recent pic of the one on left in the 2nd pic.

out of 20 clones only these 2x showed roots and took off. I’m a little upset because I had an orange Pheno of the copper Orgi that is flowering now and none of those clones took.
So In the sport of learning and improving on my craft I decided no more soil/plug cloning. From here on out I’m Hydro cloning. The results to me seem better then what I’m getting and one guy I talked to hasn’t lost a single clone since he switched.

I've had the same happen, take new clones while she's in flower, and you've still got a chance. I've done it as late as 4 weeks in.

It's rare here when a clone doesn't root - I feel like people overthink it. I've posted w/ pics in a couple of threads on, but it's as easy as this:

Very moist Rapid Rooters plugs, Quick Clone gel, and individual plastic cups w/ lids. I use the McDonalds yogurt parfait cups, but I haven't seen them sold since the plague hit. Put them in non direct light - fluorescent tubes are perfect - and start checking in 10 days. Most all show roots in 14, but even the slowest eventually will as long as you leave the lids on. I swear this next part is true - I use scissors and a box cutter that haven't been cleaned ... ever. Both are at least 7 years old.

I took 9 cuts a little over 2 weeks ago, and all but one are chillin' in low light veg waiting for a turn.

DIY BUBBLE CLONER

I am tired of my clones not taking in the peat plugs I use or only 1:10 making it which is a 10% clone rate which is pathetic imho.

So I did what any pot head would do and set to task making my own bubble cloner to improve on my cloning rate.
Even if I get 5/10 I’d be happy but a fellow grower on IG said to just make a cheapO bubble cloner out of coffee tub or Tupperware.

So far….below is what I have come up with.
74339432-BCE7-4ACA-969A-83FA1675D1C8.jpeg image.jpg

It’s not much but here are the specifics:

I based this DIY tub on a super basic design I saw somewhere I can’t remember where but it was just a plastic coffee container that someone outfitted to hold 1 or 2x 2in net pots and a neoprene collar. The person didn’t even have an air stone just an air tube. I asked my friend on IG if this basic model would work and he couldn’t see why it wouldn’t.
I used a 4x6” Tupperware container with 5x 2in holes cut into it. I’m hoping I cut them right but if not the good thing about Tupperware ware is they make so many of the exact lid I can just re do it.
Gonna use a small air pump for a minnow bucket I’ve had laying around.
Instead of an air stone I hot glued the air tubing around the bottom and sliced holes in it so the air will bubble from every side instead of just the middle.. this next weekend I’m taking her for the first test drive. The collars get here this week sometime so time couldn’t be better.

It's rare here when a clone doesn't root - I feel like people overthink it.
So your total right a lot of ppl iver think it. Including me. Right now I’m trying to figure out the best way to clone a few cuts here and there to give to friends or if I find a keeper. But my space is super limited so I want something that is 90-100% efficient yet compact and cost effective. I’ve used the rapid rooters before snd they worked good I had more success then with jiffy peat plugs. but the RR got all moldy and nasty before I could even use half the bag.
So I’m trying to find something other then peat moss plugs or a a bunch of cups on a line since I only have a 3x10ft closet which I have 2 tents in and a little end table with a cfl hanging above for clones. I was gonna buy a bubble cloner but all the ones I looked at weee way too big or were more the 50$. If I get more space or a nice little grow spot one day maybe I can use the rapid rooters fast enough before they went bad. But at this time I felt like I was wasting money.

totally over thinking it.

I’m my best way to simplify it for myself and the most cost effective solution that could yield the highest results is a bubble cloner. It’s only taking up a 6”x8” area and if dine right I should have 90% or higher success rate.?

  • EZ-gro Rooters are shipped dry so you never worry about mold. Soak for one minute to re-wet

Amazon product

That’s what I use rooters soaked in some water with a couple drops of clonex in it(I don’t know if it actually does anything but that’s how I’ve done it for almost 10 years with awesome success so I still do it that way) than I cut the clone, split the stem, dip it in clonex and stick it in the rooter….little trick that I do I flip them around and put the clone in bottom instead of the hole on the top they stay in place better that way

I’ve noticed in my times of cloning the more thinking I put into in the worse it is I just use some old ass rusty razor blade and I’m not all worried about it I just do it I’m not being all perfect or anything and I can honestly say it’s rare for one not to take my success rate is probably in the 90% range and I’m not trying to brag or anything it’s simple stupid and I think people make more of a big deal out of it but that’s just me I’ll quit blowing your thread up
