Bogie's Grow Diary

Well I am on my first indoor grow. So far I am 100% legal with my MMJ card. I'm allowed 5 plants. I really haven't read the fine print so IDK what all the stipulations are as far as possession and all that jaz. BUT I see I will be very tempted to expand a bit and go perpetual. It all started with me looking into growing some plants outside and I discovered how easy, so to speak, to grow inside and conceal everything. So after a little research I purchased 2 Green Sunshine company ES300 v2 lights, a Mars 4x8 tent, air scrubber, seeds, and Earth Dust soil ammendments.
I decided to go that route and use soil and they made the earth dust sound like an easy way to go. I popped 8 seeds. 2 Ethos Citral Glue, 2 Obama Kush (csi Portland), one Katsu's Dracarys, one Katsu's Xanadu, and 2 unknown seeds from a buddy that he was told were most likely feminized lol. NOT!
I had 100% germ. I wanted to try mainline training and LST. I screwed up 2 plants by pushing too far on the manifold lol. I wound up keeping 2 Obama's, Dracarys,, Citral Glue and an unknown. I wanted to keep Xanadu but I fk'd it up lol. I started in Solo cups, then 1gal and 5gal. Two went into 10 gal to compare. My seeds popped Feb 27th. All has gone well until I flipped to 12's. I discovered the unknown was a male! Why GOD lol. So now I have 4 in the tent and a sour diesel clone I just received today from my neighbor. I plan on growing it out in the vegetable garden. I flipped to 12's May 5th. Starting to get some nice budzzz forming now and I can actually see some frost on a couple lower sugar leaf's I guess they are called? I will continue updating from here on out till finish. 20200228_202228.jpg 20200309_195141.jpg 20200331_193029.jpg 20200407_054139.jpg 20200414_194628.jpg 20200423_054624.jpg 20200428_054720.jpg 20200428_054610.jpg 20200518_152052.jpg 20200518_151612.jpg

Also when I flipped to 12's my neighbor gave me a Mars light 12x20 basically I think. Can't find any info on it . It has the veg and flower switch. It seems to work pretty well so far. Time will tell vs the ES300's. I have it over the one Obama I have that was mottled looking from sprouting. It keeps growing and after Screwing up the mainline plants I decided to keep it and see how it turns out. 20200518_151837.jpg

is it like a blurple? I mean like what you would typically see on amazon? I use a few of them as supplimental in the closet and the tent...

Lookin good. I've always been hesitant about mainlining. I just don't see the benefit to it. Scrog and some LST can produce the same results without the tax paid to chopping up the plant me thinks.
Yeah I agree. It really slows them down. It seems like they caught up in time once I stopped topping. Only one I have left is Citral Glue. Its getting HUGE! Lol I guess thats the sativa in it? Really wasn't enough space for a 4x4 area if I had 5 plants still lol 20200519_054534.jpg

I too have had a history of overgrowing my area haha. Selective pruning really helps a lot in this regard. At least for preventing PM. I tend to stick to scrog indoors so I don't give a shit about light penetration below the canopy.

Haha yeah. Still have a HUGE learning curve! I have two fans and an infinity 6" fan recirculating air. The tent walls are sucked in a bit. Hopefully that's enough. Im going to get a little fan like Jags has for the floor lower area. Screenshot_20200519-180431_Samsung Internet.jpg

So, grab yourself a little 4" helper fan and put it on one of your intakes sucking air in. It'll help the walls collapsing. I too have an ac infinity 6", and was concerned about that. Waiting on ducting to come in, and will most likely do just this. Don't need a lot of intake; just enough to help keep the pressure differential copacetic in the tent.

So is that a bad thing? Hard on the 6"? I just figured it would be ok like that.

No, not really. I'm not sure if there are any negative implications honestly. My thoughts are kind of along the lines that any undue resistance on the fan will wear out the bearing and/or motor prematurely. Kinda like a turbine in a car -- you want to eliminate as much restriction as possible on the compressor and the exhaust. More air in + more air out = more power, which translates to longer life of the component.

Plus, sucked in tent walls are kinda unsightly. There may even be wear concerns for the tent itself, despite tents being regarded as disposable, typically.

today is 21 days since flipping to flower. I was thinking it was week four but that was since I top dresses my final, omitting any tea applications, Boost application. I'm pretty satisfied so far with the results if everything I have accomplished so far. I hope I can continue the trend. I ordered another infinity S6 and ducting. I need to assist the other other one. Too much neg pressure and I cant get humidity where I want it. It was 75% this morning! Lmao can anyone say Powdery mildew or bud rot heaven forbid! Im going to run the exhaust over to laundry room by the ac intake/return. When I have the tent open It will get to 50%. I have a big dehumidifier for last ditch effort left over from my fish breeding days. I have hobby OCD! HA!

Tuesday will be day 28. I guess I am close to half way for the 3 squat plants. The first plant in the video is Ethos Citral Glue. I like it's vigor. It is the only one in a 10 gal pot. Second is Obama Kush. The 3rd is Katsu's Dracarys and the very last plant is another Obama Kush. Notice how the leaves look all cat clawed and

You should be very proud of your first grow. Defiantly in the top ten i have ever seen in first grows . You are on cruise control know only thing to watch out for would be your humidity could cause but rot if it gets to high . Those big tight cola are the most at risk. The last thing is taking the plant to the proper ripeness witch will be a little different with each strain. Again well done for any grow much less a first one.
