Brisco's Bargain Beans

honestly I like it when the breeder has 3-5 consistent crosses that they consider their masterpieces or legacy but then experiment with a few other crosses here amd there.

I really enjoy copper Orgi S1 it’s my go to when I need some good flower that keeps me up but kills the pain in my hands. And it has great flavor so for me I would love to be able to get a stock of it. When I purchased it (my first bean purchase ever) I didn’t know it was going to be one of the last times you put it up. Then the final time it was offered I ordered it but Paul accidentally had too many available so we talked and he sent me more then double what I paid for in other Briscos offerings. I know if you had them as a constant I would for sure buy them and tell others they were available again also.
Plus 1

Not a big fan of paying for beans that are a 1 hit wonders.. you have 200 beans, no testing, just make a name/ cross and sale it out in a day or 2 and make the next..
When I see this I just move on cause I'm not trying to pay 10 buck a seed for someone testers....

$10 a seed doesn't fit the 'Bargain Bean' model, so no worries.
Hope you're not taking what I said like it was pointed to you..

I'm just saying in general.. you= person making a cross with 1 plant selling those beans as the next best thing and doing it again with the next plant.
the only testing going on is a 10 bean drop to see if they pop...
And off to the seed banks they go..

Exactly. As stated on the seed bank site:
"Brisco’s Bargain Beans enters its 3rd year of providing crosses matched for great flavors and potency at pain-free prices. Germ tested, many customers show their work on..........." etc.

Can't be more up front than that. [ we're now in our 4th year, so an update is in order. ]

Glad that's working for you, and I'm Glad you're Honest about it, but honestly if I seen that I would pass unless the price is like 35dollars, then maybe..
BUT
If I wanted your beans why would I be looking at a seed bank, when you're right here..

Is there a reason why there needs to be a middle man making a cut%

See now that changes things for me..
If I can see your work, know you and see your not Joe blow that a whole different story..

The beauty of the seed biz in 2021 is that there's a bazillion places to order for any reason that appeals to you.

There was a televised Eagles reunion concert years ago and Joe Walsh went to play his solo/riff, forget which song, but he noticed they had muted his guitar, lol. He made a weird face and just kind of stood there holding the guitar. Lol

To be fair though he couldn't play as good as the stand in studio players actually playing the song.

Do you think it's more advantageous to the consumers that seed sellers have a consistent menu of crosses they're known for, or to have an ever changing rotation of offerings? Asked another way, do you prefer running dependable and familiar strains, or the adventures of variety?
Great question Amos. Its hard enough to make new varieties of (dependable/tested) crosses for folks and even harder to house all the mommas to make every one of those "flagship" strains that everyone knows and trust without folks getting fatigued by the same offerings.

The Shinobi of Seeds, @thenotsoesoteric gifted me a pack of Hazeman Strawberry Cough, and a couple of Dinafem Strawberry cough, and the rascal is making it difficult for me to recipro.

Lately it seems so. :) These were popped a few days ago, then I see your're gonna do a cough/blueberry hash [ sounds xxxcellent btw].

Is there an answer in there, amigo? :)

Just my 2 cents but..
I think if your doing this as a business, then keeping mom's, dad's and a complete grow going to keep what got you started " flag ship strains" is a must..

But again this is just my 2 cents worth..

That's what got you started, gave you a name in the business...
