Bullfrog's Grow Pad

[Bullfrog]

More seedlings and a few that have been topped twice. The 3 topped are 2 Diamond Earrings and the other is a Sour Cheesecake. Seedlings are 2 Bluberries and Bannanas, 1 Michigan State of MInd by Cosmic Wisdom. 2 Citrus Milf, 2 Greases Pieces by 3thirteen. These seedlings will get topped before going outside for the summer.

Looks like my cross between Trizzlers and Sunshine #4 did inherit some autoflower traits. Looks to be a dude though. Been running on 18 hrs of light and is starting to stretch also is getting kinda droopy just like his Trizzlers mother did when she transitioned to flower. Yesterday was 30 days for this plant, it's already bigger than the Livers auto that's nearly finished. The mother pretty much doubled in size during the flower phase. Don't notice really any sunshine #4 in there, then again, I didn't take any notes or pictures and I had so many plants around it's hard to remember exactly what the dad was like. Smells like the mother too, rather sweet, spicy gas.

Livers Bx is getting a pretty yellow fade going. Smells pretty too, kinda sweet but if ya sniff deep and long ya really get that ammonia burn. Still smells pissy when I open the tent. She's 66 days old, breeder says 65-75 days. We'll see how she looks at 75, still needs more time I'd say. Ma Gooey x RunAwayBride is 8 weeks in flower, starting to get some amber trichs, going to let it go another 5-10 days.

It does smell really nice but kinda bad too. I want to smoke some of it. Won't be too long before I can at least sample it. The size of the plant is disappointing, although that could be my fault. I did hit a couple of the side buds with some Money shot pollen, and it looked like seeds were forming last I looked. Money shot was a big, strong plant that had a pissy smell too. Maybe if I get some seeds, they'll be a little more vigorous growers.

The Livers I've smelled plants like it before but the Ma Gooey x RAB, now that is a complex smell. Totally unique to me. There's definitely a low earthy funk to it, and it still has some type of burnt smell, like maybe the smell of burnt gunpowder or fireworks, it's not really strong but I can pick it up. I also pick up on a citrus smell of sorts, not lemon or orange, maybe a grapefruit type of smell. Hard to describe but I sure do love sticking my nose in it. Can't wait to put the flame to her.

Man that sounds great! The fireworks smell I can totally understand; Black Lime Special Reserve I ran this past season smells like that lol. Hope you enjoy it!

Ma Gooey x RAB got the axe today, 9 weeks to the day. Trich's were getting pretty amber on top, so I took her down.





She's hanging now, 8 nice colas. Can't wait to sample it in a couple weeks.

Livers Bx1 chopped @82 days. Very few amber, very few clear trichs, doesn't seem like it's changed in a week, and I need the room so...down she comes.


She really sweetened up, buddies said it smelled fruity. The piss smell is completely gone but I still get a little nostril burn something like ammonia. Looks like I'll get a couple dozen seeds from her too. Way too leafy for my tastes, glad she's small.
The smell kinda reminds me of some Super Sunk I grew outside last year that got decimated by the rabbits. The smoke from those SS wasn't very good, probably from the rabbits killing them off before they were even close to done. I did have one in another spot that didn't get hit by the rabbits, that smoke really isn't all that great either. Hopefully this Livers is tastier than that Super Skunk is. Not sure how they can say it smells anything like skunk though. Makes me wonder if the people describing these strains have ever smelled a skunk, because this plant smells nothing like skunk and neither did the super skunk.

The Ma Gooey x RAB is trimmed and dried. Tested it out and it's not as good as I thought it would be. It was so white and frosty, figured it had to be good, it gets ya good and high right quick, but the taste just doesn't do it for me. Had multiple people try the smell and taste, nobody can quite put a name to the smells and tastes. One guy said it smelled meaty, another citrusy, I also think it's a bit citrusy but not a lemon or orange. Not my favorite weed for sure, going to put it into some grove bags for a month or so, hopefully it'll improve, if not she's going in the wash machine.

The nose burn on a fruity strain is pretty rare in my experience. Is the smell maybe a sweet creamy aroma? The cure process is likely to bring out other little intricacies, which I'm looking forward to hearing about

@Psychobilly Don't know about creamy but to me it's just sweet, I don't really get fruity. Just gave it a little squeeze and big deep smell, man it has a sweet burn, and the buds are really fat, hopefully they keep the size through the dry.

Got the first group out. Seen more people today than the first 10 years I planted this spot combined. Going to be a wild summer. People aren't the real problem, people are predictable. The real problem is what people bring with them, dogs. Nothing against dogs but I've been attacked and treed by dogs while in the woods. I wish people would keep them under control. Not a fun feeling. Now I don't go without my Ratmandu. I'd hate to have to, but I've got to protect myself. Thought I was going to have a go last summer. Was in one of my spots tending plants and heard what was obviously a dog, could tell it had my sent. I couldn't see it and I don't think it ever seen me. I hunkered down and the sound kept heading straight for me. I snorted like a deer does and luckily it wasn't an aggressive dog because it hightailed it the opposite direction. About 5 minutes later I could hear the owner hollering for their dog to come. There's nothing worse than walking alone on a trail and encountering a dog with no owner in sight.

Thanks dude! My last two years have been pretty good. Last season I only did half as good as I should've. Rabbits got me and I wasn't prepared to deal with them in time. Doesn't take them long to wipe out a lot of plants when they start ringing them from chewing on the stalk. Have a few new tricks to try this season. Hoping being proactive with stuff they don't like will help keep them at bay. Really, I shouldn't even bother as I can grow legal. Why I take the risk of growing on public land? Guess because I grew up doing it way before it was legal. Feel like by doing so it opened the door for legalization. I'm a good guy, but the law and worshipers of the law see me as a bad man. Those people are the ones who would benefit from weed the most, help open their minds to other perspectives. People in their right mind can see that there's nothing wrong with it and it can even be a huge help to a lot of people. Those were some good hash rips, took me off on a tangent.

Here's hoping this is a banger year for ya.

Finally found some males, have 3 going right now but I can only keep one. I'm thinking I'm going to keep the Gorilla Mittens @Frimpong. Have that plus a Gorilla Waves that I'd really like to nab some pollen for storage but I have nowhere to keep him. Tents are full and I think the daylight hours are getting too long to keep it outside of a tent. Pretty sure it would try to go back to vegetation, or am I wrong? Also have one of my crosses, the Trizzlers x Sunshine #4, again nice plant but no room to let him go. My plan is to leave the Gorilla Mittens male in the flower tent with some GM girls and 2 Gorilla Waves and 2 Mango Dripz females. I think the seeds from these would be fun to grow out. Plus, I love GG4 smoke. Too bad none of these are going to do as well as they should, I used some recycled dirt and didn't amend it, then let them languish before I finally added some blood meal and bone meal, started looking better almost immediately, poor things. They are looking better but as still a little yellow from N deficiency. Sometimes I can be kinda dense, lol.

My HG strain @ 8 weeks tomorrow. Wild plant, just keeps throwing hairs, smells rank, like rotting fruit.
