Bullfrog's Grow Pad

@DopeDaniel @sportyridr Thought you guys might like this.

Had some seeds off a Sour Cindy that was grown between a group of UK Spunk when I made the F2's and a Chosen Juan that came on late and dropped some pollen. I assumed they were from the Chosen Juan. Looks like this seed must have had one of those UK Spunk males for a daddy. Looks like more than just preflowering to me. This is in the veg tent, I'd say in the 40-day range. Plant doesn't look bad just going to treat her the same as all the others.

I grew a few plants from this batch of seeds last summer and none did this, at least not that I noticed, they were all males and got pulled though.

Mine were planted on Nov. 18, so about 6 weeks veg time and besides the 2 autos one has shown before alternating nodes.

Not sure you can see but I put an "F" on the label. 😉

Tight node spacing overall, the pistils are on the 9th node but the plants are only ~6in tall. The male auto is kinda struggling to make pollen it seems. The flowers are opening but I can't really see any pollen or evidince any has taken on the female.

Gave them pretty aggressive prune to try and stimulate some lateral growth. These may end up going out as seed plants but plan was originally to clone after sexing, then put them out.

Everything is looking good with these two 😍
Both are nice plants, had to do alittle supercropping on the first one, vigorous growth, 10 days since flipping to 12/12.
I was battling some PM, hit it with some micronized sulfur, so you can see a little residue. I am digging the structure on both, been a joy to grow, so far.

Appreciate you growing some of those, it's really Good to hear they're doing okay for ya.

Looks like you got one of the thinner leafed ones. I really enjoy cheefing down on that stuff much more so than the larger leafed plants. My thin leaf was too short and bushy, had small buds and lots of larf, however in its defense the plant had a rough go. Got over saturated then dried out too much before I got it under control. One day it was so wilted I didn't think it was going to make it. Figure it'd probably make better buds with a proper grow. Smoked a bunch of it yesterday and man it's tasty. When run through my ball vape it fills the air with a very heavy long-lasting fragrance. The smoke just lingers around for hours it seems like. No other weed I have lingers in the air like this plant does after being smoked, it's a little bit special in that regards I believe. The stone puts a smile on my face every time.

The bigger leafed ones weren't even close to the same smell or taste. Bigger plants, nicer buds but not as good where it counts in my opinion.

The one bagseed I found came off one of the larger leafed plants.

Hope they both finish up issue free.

Yeah, not so much. (UK Spunk)

A couple have beefier stems and have my eye. There are a couple more with a little more node spacing that are more male lookin.

Two confirmed females, one "beefy", one "dainty" stem.

Female auto lookin good, no feed (topdress or liquid) since tranplant, it uses about half the water of the photos.

The male never opened his sacs and just kept dropping them and making an unproductive mess. 🪓 🪓

Very interesting. Sorry they’re so stubborn. I just throw them out back in the swamp and ignore them. They’re never big plants. One finished almost neck high this past summer.

A few tent shots from the 2x4 on day 30. A lot of the tops are a little closer to the light than I'd like, maxed out on height. Last pic is a Dadbud crossed with PnB male, liking this plant so far, nice, sweet cream smell too. Majority of the PnB crosses are trash but I have found a couple nice plants.

Considering putting some in the front yard to make a shrubbery.

Trying to stay objective in my updates, I don't mean to sound negative, they have been a joy to grow. The 6400K and 10,000K "finisher" t5 tubes are contributing to the node spacing I'm sure.

Noticed some kinda sour fruit nose this morning, mostly on the auto.

I think they'd do much better outside. The Livers Bx1 auto didn't care for being under lights, it had those tight node spacings and never did grow up very much. Was enough for me to not try it indoors again. They seem to like the slightly dappled sunlight they get back in the swamp. I am a little curious on how they'd do up in the mountains.

If they're being a pain, I'd rather know they've been a pain instead of someone trying to sugar coat it. I should've known they were kinda fussy, but I guess I didn't really pay good attention to them. It gets me excited every time I toke on it, I kinda forget they're not the most vigorous growers.

I really don't have the knowledge to describe the smells, too much going on. I can see someone getting sour from them though. Sometimes I get skunky, sometimes a little fruity, sometimes cedar or woody. It's not really like anything else imo. Had some ground up sitting on a tray the other day and walked into the room and could've sworn I smelled skunk, but it doesn't always smell like that, it's weird. Maybe it's just my nose doesn't work up to par.

Thanks for the updates.

My male from dad's seed stock isn't dropping pollen. Sacs are opening just not dropping any dust. I tend to believe it's the growing conditions that's messing it up. It's in a cold window getting light only from our cloudy days that are maybe 10 hours long. Probably wasn't ready to flower either. It's been really slow developing flowers, even when it was under lights in the grow room. Was still a baby when he was flipped, wanted to be a tree.

The prior male I harvested a couple weeks ago did fine with the same treatment. Having thoughts on how to keep it alive until summer for another go but I should probably just chop the picky bastard. Bummer man.

Imagine you worked in a surgical suite and said that out loud.
Hey man, been a minute.

The female auto is almost done.

This video gave me more understanding of how the gentics work.

Ended up with just the 2 females and I've transplanted and started to flower them. Sorry I won't have a chance to run them outdoor cause my plans have changed. I think I have the viroid in my 3x3 bed, so these are gonna be needed sooner rather than later. I might be able to still grab some clones but I hessitate on that 'til I get the 3x3 figured out.

The boys did begin to branch out.

I think the females will have a fine structre too good for grows with clearance issues.
