And it starts!…
The first three clangs are my horse pawing at the gate because I’m about to feed..
Over head is another huge flock of geese that are landing on the field by the hundreds..
Were still safe! For now, this is just practice runs and the snow geese are yet to be seen…
At least the bugs are starting to subside! That’s a big plus!
Have a Great day EH!

That prick Ol' Man Winter ain't far away.
Ya, he’s a bad ass MoFo for sure, but Him, I can deal with…
It’s the Horrible 5 that get me ( mites, thrips, aphids, gnats and whiteflies) and in that regard, I’m kinda glad to have him on our team!
(Yup, I use him in the arsenal too!??)
Oh.. and Jack Frost!… he can be a good friend too, but many say otherwise…lol

Coulda put it in my music thread but figured it fit in pretty good right here. This is Alberta treasure Corb Lund singing about his family reunion down @Jewels ' way.

"got the mormons and the drinkers and the mormons who drink,
pay attention cause it might not be as simple as you think"

CBC News: Prime Video to begin production on Mr. Dressup documentary.

Hells Ya !
I always heard he either didn't like kids or didn't like kid actors, which is why his costars were Casey and Finnegan. Interesting to see what the doc says.

Haven't seen that show for probably 40 years but two minutes thinking about it and I remember:

The wise owl
"to-whit to-wee, to-whit to-woo
I smoke weed every day,
You should too"

The Tickle Trunk. Who didn't want one as a kid?

While we're doing icons,
I bet every Canadian (who long ago was a) kid knows the name of this rooster and giraffe and can probably do at least an approximation of the "and a rocking chair for those who like to rock" speech.

One more memory test for Canucks. Who knows what show ended with these lines:
"The castle lights are growing dim
There's no one left but me
and Him
When next we meet at Frankenstone
Don't come alone"

We had a neighbor with a rotating antenna who could pick up the 14 or so Oiler games that were the only ones broadcast on free TV (other than few HNICs that didn't feature the Habs or Laffs ). They were the most popular family for miles around. : )

Stretching
Sunny and warm up here near Peace River for at least a couple more days. Can't believe how late our first killer frost is this year. Two very light frosts that didn't bother the plants at all with a cover over them and they've been out of the ground since the 17th now so they're safe.

We only had farmer TV here until about 10 years ago. Still on dial-up until then too. Nothing gets delivered to our door either so we're still stuck in the 70s here. 1bar cell service as well.

At least the TV antenna on the roof of the shop was an easy place for the internet guy to mount the receiver or radio as it's called in the trade.

I sure miss the good old days! labrat.gif
