Canna-Tootsie Rolls

My choice of consumption is edibles so I am always on the lookout for a great edible recipe.
With that said, I am also willing to go the extra mile if the outcome is worth it.
I feel this recipe falls into that category. Yes it is a bit more effort, but the result are pretty amazing.
I've made 3 batches of these. The first I followed the recipe exactly, the second I tweeked it a little and with those tweeks I found no need to make any other adjustments.
This is a link to the youtube video:

This gal has a ton of videos if you see something else that might interest you.

The adjustments I made were from other similar recipes I found, and are as follows.
1) I used 1/4 c Coco Powder instead of 1/3 c.
2) I used 2 Tablespoons of water instead of a 1/2 c (8 Tablespoons).
3) I added a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
4) I added 1/4 teaspoon of Orange flavor. (similar to Orange extract but with sunflower oil instead of alcohol) (I'm sure either will work)
---This added ingredient is the difference between a chocolate flavored candy and a Tootsie Roll!---

Pulling the taffy is a little tricky. I found that it is easier to pull it the first time, then form it into a block and slice it with a pizza cutter. (that's what I do with my caramel recipe also.)

With the strength of the butter I am using and the size of the pieces (I get about 90 pieces per batch) I am getting approximately 4-5 mg per piece, and that is what I am shooting for.

If any of y'all give this a try, let me know how it works out for you.
Cheers,
WillieP
