Thanks! Pops always said the most balls to the wall racing there is has to be USAC wingless sprints on dirt. That shit is insane. 410 alcohol fueled rockets. All or nothing with those cars. I spent a lot of my childhood in the Pits and sleeping in a chevy van 20 following the world of outlaws. Merica'

He was a machinist and when they started running 289s he designed and built an adapter to lay 2 4 banger Fairbanks Morse magnetos opposing each other to fit under the bonnet because there distributor was on the front of the engine.
That's the kind of stuff that fascinates me if you ever get a chance go to you tube & look up EJ Potter the Michigan madman although not a car he built this in the 60s & held records for awhile I once read an article in hot rod magazine & was fascinated by this guy

I have a buddy that him and his wife race Vintage Modifieds on asphalt. Last year they did a few dirt ovals and he asked if I would drive his third car. OF COURSE I WANT TOO! Well, it was a big difference going from wanting grip on a road course to needing to let it hang out sideways!! All I will say is, it was a blast and I didn’t finish last! ? So I ended up getting the 3.5 eco boost tuned....when they say no replacement for displacement I now beg to differ. File is to large to upload so I'll share off my drive, always enjoy a little drive home fun. Only problem is I have company name on the side of it....lol

I've only had one decent vehicle and I sure fucked that up....had a 04 f350 6.0...I know right lol but dude I worked with sent it in and had it fully bullet proofed egr deleted stc valve new stock upgraded injectors and coolant filter. Got it back there was a stc x4 In there. Canned tunes was awesome but then i got gear heads srl+, extreme studded, unlimited tow and 8k/13k tow studded. Truck was so fun to drive. 60 to 100 was stupid fast. 8000 pound truck get down lol. But ya down hill slid through intersection and t boned a car. Icey and was getting a smoke completely my dumbass fault..... I'll post pics tmrw morning, it's still at warehouse. Debating taking the 10k from insurance or buy another truck and swap motors. Driving a v6 eco boost atm, it blows ass hauling. It pulls it but stopping is another story.
I'm a 6.0 man myself...well mine is actually now a 6.3 stroker from JK and Sons bottom end with stage III Kill Devil Diesel heads, studded, cam, odawg intake, 190/30 Precision Diesel injectors, built 5R110 transmission, 4.10 gear ratio rear and a stage III KC turbo..."says not for towing"...but with the tow tunes I have it pulls a 4 horse trailer and heavy utility trailer with 80hp tractor and batwing mower or a 35' center console boat...no problem...makes maybe 600 hp.
When I stop at a light with a 5.0 mustang on my right...they don't stand a chance!
I have a 5" straight pipe, side dumped before the rear tire...so they always cry...I couldn't hear my car or when I'm out on them they cry...I couldn't see...because it is just pouring black smoke on them from the 5" straight pipe...lol...I don't drive it much anymore as I have 2018 6.7 450 Dually to pull that stuff now so it's just for play.
Had a 2019 Range Rover Sport...also had it towed about 6 times before the dealership took it back!
Bought a 2019 Explorer Sport...only towed once!
Maybe after July 1st and legalization occurs...I'll put up pics of my 71' cuda promod...it has a 572 Hemi with a 980 Whipple supercharger, fuel injected by Enderle...don't race it any more...pretty much just sits in my shop...the kids love it, so I'll probably pull it out again this year...fully streetable on farm tags!???...no exhaust system and big tire slicks.

Hell ya man, I miss the 6.0 for sure. Sounds like yours was way better lol. I pull lots of equipment skid steers and excavators mainly. 6.0 was better but the little f150 v6 get down better then most other vehicles I have pulled with. I will give credit to the f150 launches hard at 7 8 psi in 4 wheel. My buddy didnt hold his head back and said felt like he was blacking out lol. That cuda sounds mean as fuck. I would love to have some late 60s early 70s muscle... maybe one day lol.
