the ecsd is what @Shoreline used to make Fish Scale, ecsd x crippy. ECSD itself is a different cut than what west coasters call Sour D. Its very much more of a sour og, not as sativa, 50/50 ish.
personally, its intensely strong imo. ive had fire og in the flesh, and thats the only strain i can remember holding a torch to the ecsd. its a rapid, thick stemmed easy grower mostly, just touchy in flower. but again, not anywhere near as touchy as the variegated, PM-looking AJ cuts that float around. im sure AJ has the real deal.... but dam guys. blegh.

I've heard about Sour Diesel a bunch, and ECSD, and the New York one, but, I've never actually seen a real cut before. I mean, part of that is probably because I started growing 4 years ago so I simply haven't been around for a lot of it, and the other would be probably the price LOL. I can barely buy seeds and, I usually go for that style of growing. I do admit I was legit shocked to see that the Chem D cuttings from "Chemdog" were like 45 dollars or less which, I admit I'm thinking one day that would be a sweet addition, but, first I need a permanent tent set up so I can house keepers LOL.
I'm not sure if I've asked this before, but have you ever smoked Chem D before ? Reason I ask is that it's my definition of strong so by comparison it's how I can gauge the strength of a given strain.

the chem s lines pure or not is always high smoke, if one have space to select maike sure good cross , verdant green gave put out some good cross chem d x chem 4 , the d i have smoke mixed to fire og ( reelentes) lots night talking abaut that gene , sure maybe today out was lots neww ehe strain maybe more good , depend one the phenotipe also have hunt , some pils , chemd is laike spray chimikal mixed bad odor , not is the more goods chem , chem six nedd attention also whi not was real worked laike the d or 4 , im in my litle have intention return work some plants to cross , in vault have beens laike copper-chem , g chem , ajsourx3chems , just to find some chimical deth odor golf mixed short rocket, lots good cross are possible , turbo d x chem d , the always good ghost og x chem / stardawg , rhino , im not fan mix it whit gsc hybrid ..different stuff different mod . top dawg s have good stuff ,onli the cost is a mhh pumb to bals heheh , hi to all

ive definitely smoked chem D, but on my coast its not as common as sour. strong and rank terps, what we would call "headies" or hippie shit lol, at least around here. Ive ran sour D, chem D, chem D cookies, and a number of chem crosses. Are you comparing chem D S1 runs? ask chemdog and he says no to S1 seeds. ask CSI and he says the S1s yield better plants than the original.

do you find seed in your chem D runs? chem D has a nanner problem for sure, but you never know with offspring.
i ran connisseur's chem D cookies in and outside, ofc the outdoor lovelys got ripped. was basically a smoother gmo, which is the same lineage. nice and kushy, chem D dominated the females i kept. didnt pick up much cookie at all, just a flinch

I found the first seeds in the indoor run the Father in Law ran, and those were basically how I started all mine. I found a few here and there from the seedling I ran last year too, so I kept those too since, I REALLY love that strain. So far this year, I've gone through I'd say like a half pound of this year's harvest, and found maybe 3 or 4 seeds, but I also did have a hidden male pop up outside, so they could very well be a cross of sorts. I mark them so they aren't mixed in with the ones I'm more confident were hermie / femmed from nanners. It makes sense though; If Chem D came from bagseed, nanners would likely show up now and again. Personally I don't mind though as I love that.

sounds like its at a minimum, so thats good. if you were finding more volume of selfed seeds, id be a little worried. Crazy how everything we covet all came from bagseed

If you want the closest thing to the SkunkVA cut in seed form grab yourself a pack of their Guerilla Fume'. I ran it for 1.5 years and nearly got my ass kicked when I shut down for a vacation. But then I met SkunkVA on that vacation and smoked the legit Chem 91. Still hold a few of his buds.
I had to have her. Last Christmas I found her..
She's out now guys.. and at a price less than alot of packs these days.

Oh man, that would be so cool to have the real thing.... I had Chemdog '91 ONCE, and sadly it was a dispensary.... It was so dry it barely had a smell or taste, and....Yeah it wasn't what I expected at all. I blame grower error or storage error on this and not the strain though.

As a cig smoker i'm terrible at taste/smell descriptions. But the buzz is where it's at. She doesnt look like much compared to newer stuff bred for bag appeal but she packs the punch. I get goose bumps as i indulge in this.

I smoke too, but I do have a decent smell and taste still, but the only Chem I have grown out was Chem D, which is ridiculously sticky. I do have Chemdog 4 outside right now so I'm looking forward to trying that one.

some of jj nyc's work is solid as well. dont pay attention to the dawg spelling. ive ran stardawg and made an F2 of the guava chem cut... wasnt fantastic but did the job. as far as i know, he only named his cuts with "dawg" to be polite.

I read about some of that too. I was confused why some would say like "Purple Chemdawg" VS Chemdog, and I was like "wait...Is this still the same thing???" LOL.

its a shame how cynical some "heads" can get. i remember he got flameroasted for that dawg thing for a hot minute. double blind noobs leading the blind.
on a related and unrelated tip..... very much enjoying our atmos here at ph. it's been hard for me personally to put away my "armor"... but its obviously not needed here. much respect @ all.
