Chuck Roast Presents,

A Sherb Breath Grow Journal, from seed to flower.

Gonna be honest guys, this is my first attempt at documenting a grow, and my second official grow. My first grow was from some really poor quality bag seed, I was mostly focusing of different training techniques and discovered that I like topping with a bit of LST.

That being said I'm only going to be topping this round to get a better idea of the strains morphological traits.

Abreivation Guide:
SB = Sherb Breath
M = Male
F = Female
F/H = Female Hermaphrodite
M/H = Male Hermaphrodite
H = Height( these will be in freedom units)
Other terms pending

Today I am starting the germination process, I am using the paper towel in a ziploc bag method because it has worked well for me before. Prior to being placed in the paper towel the seeds were scarified and rinsed in a diluted peroxide mixture.

I am worried about the state of two of the seeds, one is a runt, another is large unusually dark and cracked.

On your second grow? Wow, ambitious. Hope you get it done!
Better to practice on poly hybrid junk than on valuable heirlooms.

My basic plan will depend on whether I get the green or purple phenos, or both. Once the males begin to show sex I'm going to take clones and cut them out of the garden and grow them isolated before I make my selections. I'll be selectively breeding the lower branches of my females and marking those branches with a numeric code that corresponds to the males. All plants are going to be getting their own numerical codes for identification of course SB#1 ect.

My overarching goal is to preserve genetic material by breed my males to all of my females, then to make a scecondary selection based on their morphological traits(height, color, terpene profile). These pollinated branches will be specially marked out so as not to get mixed up with the others.

I kind on want to see if I can create two lines one with the "Sativa" traits and the other with the "indica" traits. I realize this will be time consuming and take a few years but it will prepare me for when I try to begin preservation work on landrace varietals. Though I'll probabaly wet my toes by growing an IBL landrace like Harti's PCK, as they are less likely to have wide spread genetic outliers.

Well I got some bad news, most of my sherb breath seeds have cracked, how ever they seem to have dudded. I'm not surprised considering who gave them to me, they were already pretty old and he didn't take good care of them.

But I've got one at least, so I'm going to start popping some of my other gear and just keep praying that I get at least one or two more.
