He smells like the majority of the BlueRipper I have grown out. Sweet, gassy, and caustic. Flower clusters are developing like the Glue though. I plan on doing something with him pretty quick since the outdoors is becoming winter in a hurry.

On the Cider Kush front. I moved them up to the veg area today to limit stretching for light,

Out of 5 seeds, 4 of them shedding their seeds as they broke the surface of the medium.

The one that had a hard time has decided to shrivel up some.

This is where I always wonder if I should let them soak longer to soften up the shell a bit more or bury them slightly deeper than the half-inch to allow the medium friction to help out some.

That's one purty looking dude. Wait. What? Nevermind.

On the seed hulls forefront, as with most things in the world of cannabis, there are only one trillion different schools of thought. I have homies that plant their seeds root tip up, supposedly to have the hulls shed as the seedling makes it way out of the soil. I let my seeds germinate too long most times and have long root tips (too long to plant root tip up), but most other times, I don't have the time or energy to give a fuck. I just put it in the soil however it falls. Has any of this been helpful or informative? Eh probably not haha. Positive vibes...

This is more or less how I would approach it normally. I don't put a ton of energy into it because I usually have way more seed than I can ruin. ?

I did come to the conclusion that if I ever had to germinate seeds or lose it forever that I wanted to find a method that I could be confident in. I want to test other genetics again at some point and I don't want to kill off a pack of beans like a noob. The trials and errors along the way have lead me to believe it's best to let the medium friction peel back the seed naturally.

Looks great as always Buck, as healthy as those other seedlings look I wouldn’t worry at all about that 1 lost. I doubt it was from the depth of planting though I’ve worried about that before too. It’s for preservation so we don’t want any weaklings passed along in the gene pool anyway.

Thanks for the kind words Kold. I'm already getting over it. We'll get this kick-off project done one way or the other.

First Gas followed by sweetness. Smokes the same way with the sweet coming in stronger from the after taste. Distinct BlueRIpper flavors and very happy high on this one. Top-notch yielder with big buds (as usual). Never once was I disappointed in this strain. Outstanding work done by Groerr!

I'm pretty confident in saying "great yields to be had in them f2s"

Groerr was an old head. He was growing for meds with quite a few patients. I don't think he would of kept it around if it wasn't putting out, no matter how she looked on camera. It wasn't so much about frost coated glamour strains at the time the original stock was made. IG was still on the fringe. If he was still around who really knows what he's be doing tho....when in Rome... I do recall taste and flavors were particulars he paid attention to and let his patients demand drive that direction.

Yeah me too. Blew my mind how he just went out like a ghost. He sent me the BlueRippers and BlueHarleys, but before they landed he went missing. It definitely gave me an eerie vibe. Probably the main reason I wanted to preserve his genetics, as an unspoken thank you.

It'd be cool to see Bob come around here, but I ain't gonna bug 'em. He's probably itching for the slopes since winter is here.
