Clones set outside started to bud already.

My neighbor set his clones outside that he had in veg for a while under 24/7 lighting. Metal Halide I believe. He said he did the same thing last couple years without a hitch. They are all sour diesel. Will they go back into reveg mode? What should he expect from them as far as growth and production? I have a small clone in a solo cup he said has been in soil for a while from him. He is growing in containers reg and cloth. I will be putting mine in ground with the tomatoes lol. How tall does Sour Diesel get outside if I top it a few times?

Depends, with the summer solstice next month, it's a possibility. With the drop from 24/0 to ~16/8, I'd expect to see some flower-like activities.

What should he expect from them as far as growth and production?

Also depends. Medium, size, weather, etc all play a factor in this.

I told him he should not do 24/7. I personally would think they need some dark time. It's like taking Meth lol not good for ya! HA! sure used to be fun though hahaha until day 3 ....or 5....?

haha no shit. how long you been clean? I'm going on ten years this summer, aside from one night that was a real shitty reminder why I cleaned up a few years ago.

But yeah, they need some dark. Like us as children, that's when the growing happens.

I have been like 99% clean for the last couple decades lol basically when my son was old enough to be aware of my actions AND after losing 2 good jobs to failed DT. I would do a pinch hit here and there and partied a couple times with the amphetamines. I have some LSD stashed that I haven't done in the last year. Did it about 6 times though in the year before that lol. I gave my buddy half of what had left lol I am about ready to do it again here this summer.

Good deal man. That substance is something else. Amphetamines were never really my thing, except in high school when I couldn't get ahold of dope. Though, molly has shown the love for the rush is still there. Much prefer the nystagmus and peaceful euphoria that lasts for five hours vs the euphoria for ten minutes then the go for days leading to shadow people and paranoia, and subsequent crash leading to sleep for at least a day, most times two or three. Shit's hard on the ol ticker too.

Yeah most definitely. I had a piece count job and one of my work buddies said here try this lol I did it on and off for about 4-5 years. Never really did full on meth head. I think the main reason was the sex stamina lol. My GF loved AND hated me when I did it. Never got to try Molly or Ecstacy but would love too lol Definitely getting too old to doing that stuff. All of it lol except of course the devil's lettuce HA ! Do it till I die!

@BogartAmungus Here ya go:

My understanding of the process is that flowering hormone builds up over night, and introducing light interrupts that process.. Which then makes sense as to why the "gas light method" of small periods of light to prevent flowering would work... I have been running 24/7 for the passed couple of months with success... Saying that... I have seen some small signs of what I can best describe as "fatigue" over time, but I think that could be me just not giving them ENOUGH nutes...

"Water" with a hand held shop light once in the middle of the night to interrupt the dark.
I go out between 11pm and midnight, every night until June10th at 48N.
Pretend the light is water and shine on all leaves, briefly.
It's nice to get those roots going in the ground.
Has worked for me.
Be sure to use outdoor drop cord, Be safe. A strong flashlight might work, haven't tried flashlight.

I'm at 46 degrees north latitude. I put my plants out too early last year, 4/20. Most of them started to flower due to the extended dark period. The ones that started to flower early never came back from it. The plants stayed small, the flowers never developed properly and they didn't ripen well either. I started that project too soon. The plants were over grown so I jumped the normal planting threshold.

Normally I've been staging things to go out around late May or early June. That seems to be a sweet spot for these parts. They will still grow plenty large.

As @Jim Dandy suggested...
I like the idea of interrupting the dark cycle with an intense shop light in the middle of the night to keep them from flowering early...if they must go out that early. If you have the time and means to that's a great idea.

My plants are far from the house with no way of getting electricity to the site. I don't usually have the time to make a nightly midnight visit out there either. I do the foliar applications after the sun goes down. That's only a couple times a month.

I wish you the best of fortune for a bountiful harvest!

That should read 40N Latitude. I have no idea where the "8" came from... Sorry folks! Is there a way to edit my original post?

You are up North! Long summers with lots of light. Early June sometimes works down here (40 N) .

I live in a valley between two mountains. That dramatically cuts the peak daylight hours down. The earliest the sun comes over the east mountain is 8:30am. Its behind the trees to the west by 6:30pm. Then its behind the west mountain shortly after. Plus the outdoor patch is in little clearing in the middle of tall trees. It's mostly in the shade. But I can't complain, I do have an outdoor patch to play in either way I look at it.

It's good for testing cultivars for mold resistance. If the plants do well at this patch they usually do better at other ones.

This outdoor patch naturally selects for resistance and less light hungry plants. It's good for making seeds.
