As title says I need help. First time using a burner and I’m trying get my plan all set.
Originally I was going to grab a100 lb tank but I’m wondering how much gas is really used in this thing.
Could a 20 lb tiny tank last for a least a couple weeks or is that a waste of time.

8 x 640 watt led sealed room.
I plan on maintaining a baseline at 800ppm ish.
Also what kind of heat can this thing produce? 8 burner unit.

That is tricky math,,,

Most 6 burners I see are around 18'000 BTU.
Does that mean 18k , per hour ?

There is about 430'000 BTU'S in a 20lb'r tank.

Does this mean : at fill tilt 20lbs = 24 hrs ?

Logically, if you get tired of trips to refill the 20, you will want a bigger tank.

For myself,,, during stretches of -22F , last winter, I could burn 20lbs a week , easy.

Never seen anything like that. Is that a heater? I ended up mounting the tank outside the room. Easy access to switch out. And as a test ppm went from 550 to 800 with the burner running 2 minutes. Gunns monitor the next 48 hours real close.

If the tank will be outside in colder temps I would go with a larger 40 or 100lb. They vaporize better and allow better use of the gas. The 40lb tanks will last a very long time on a burner or small LP heater like the Buddy.

Appreciate the reply and yes tank is outside in the elements of Michigan winters.
