So I thought maybe we all have a few ideas on a quick break down compost mix . Mine is a simple quick routine of lawn clippings , tree leaves , veg scraps from the kitchen, a little horse manure and a little wood ash from the fire place. Takes about 6 weeks to break down if I turn it weekly , 7D361B1B-2897-4939-A101-3E2B2D0FBB52.jpeg Complete with a healthy abundance of worms that keep self regenerating to keep the pile active . Love it and use it at about 50/50 with a high grade potting mix for the ladies and top dress around the garden , veg patch everywhere else .

I'm running all my garden scraps, grass clippings, deadfall tree limbs mowed up,then a mix of local clay and leaf mold soil amended with kelp, gypsum, alfalfa, and watered in with compost tea to get it all going, not a quick turn around but by amending it your not gonna hurt anything if you use it early, the clay is a must it raises the cec of your finished compost and gives you a bit more on the quantity as well

Be careful with the source of your horse manure...chemical worming pastes, veterinarian use of acepromaline and other benzos, EPO and Lasix...blood doping etc are all common practices in the horse world.

I know my horses get chem wormers 3 times a year and the rest is done with herbs naturally...get aced once a year for the dentist...but no other forms of doping...they are pretty natural.
Same with cows... benzos, chem wormers, grow pellets, antibiotics etc...

Thanks mate yes I get the manure from the racing stables so I’m aware of the possible traces that may be present . I use it sparingly as well ?
