Last couple weeks and weekends have been crazy busy, so figured I'd dump some pics to catalog since the last visual update 11 days ago.

The hermie seems to have stopped throwing bananas. Might've just been a fluke caused by various stressors in the environment. Working out how to automate the fertigation next round -- with my schedule it's hard to keep up with hand watering to meet the demands of the ladies. I think yields have suffered due to that.

May end up just setting up the dutch bucket system in the tent next round, and keep a few other ladies in fabric pots with coco with a flood and drain table or something along those lines. I'm for sure dumping the promix. I hate it. It smells weird, growth and yields just feel slower than coco, and overall I just don't like it. It'll amend the veggie raised beds nicely though.

Otherwise, things are chunking up now. Colors are starting to fade (seems early) but it may just be due to the new environment. I'm not super optimistic about yields at this point, but that may turn around over the next few weeks. Love Stash is definitely a yielder, think that line would due phenomenal in a scrog or sog configuration. I'll for sure be keeping the non-hermie for a mom even though she was the runt. I like the frost they produce, and will want some guarantees next round, alongside the ongoing pheno hunt.

Neither of the blackberry moonshines are proving to be keepers simply due to yield. I think I can find better producers in the remaining beans I have. Regardless, with the leaves changing how they are, I'm stoked to see what the flowers do. They're filling in now, and calyxes are fat and stacking. Leaves are starting to taco as well, so that's cool. They'll definitely be some frosty flowers either way.

I'll shut up and throw some preview pics of what's going on today. I'll be getting more today after I finish up with work.

Gotta snag some pics to update this, but figured I'd just drop in and say things are moving along. Love Stash and bms bx1 are getting floppy, so I need to stake some branches up. Should have a dehumidifier by next week to deal with night time humidity spikes.

Running into random heat issues now too, spiking to over 90F around 8AM for some reason (couple hours after lights on). Girls don't seem to mind, chunking up and whatnot. Probably three more weeks to go before chop time.

Debating going two different routes this next run. For sure gonna set up the dutch bucket system in the tent, but also thinking about running some NFT channels too and just going full hydro finally. Skip going back to coco and see how well I swim. We'll see, my mind changes on shit by the hour.

Will try to snag pics tomorrow, work's got me doing 12's right now on some real bullshit and I'm too burnt and pissed off by days end to do much of anything.

Haven't updated on the outdoor in a while, so here ya go. Chugging along, with a girl that just doesn't seem to want to flower. Figured out a contingency plan yesterday, though. May end up doing some kind of ghetto light dep if she doesn't start throwing pistils in the next couple weeks. They're thirsty, it was quite hot yesterday, so disregard the droop.

Her suitor is obviously eager to get laid, so I'm scratching my head like wtf.... probably due to him being shaded from that goddamn apartment light, while she is almost right in its path even though she's behind a small structure. Definitely collecting some of his pollen though, then it's chop time for him.

Some indoor pics!

Finally finished up the work project that ran for the past two and half weeks. done with the 12 hour days for now. Can get back to taking care of the home projects, maybe.

Anyways. These girls are stacking now. Nearing the end, it seems. About time to order a loupe to check the trichomes. Just based on appearance of fade and stacking I'd say another two or three weeks before the bms bx1 and love stash f2 are ready to come down. Nothing is still at least another four weeks out, if not longer.

Anyways, here's the pr0n

Non-plant related, just generally fun. Went for a ride with my brother this weekend out to Lacamas Lake. Some decent intro level twisties for the squid (me) and a dream come true for the old fart (my brother). Of course, in true older brother fashion, he has to have the cooler bike, which several people sparked up conversations about.

Figured I'd do the weekly update a day early. The end is definitely getting close now, trichomes are mostly cloudy at this point on BMS, no amber yet, but the Love Stash is showing some amber here and there. Wish I had one of those microscopes like @jaguarlax has, would love to get pics of the purple stalked trichomes.

Everything's lookin all frazzled and pretty tired. They're not drinkin much anymore and now I'm just waiting for the finish. They've only been getting 0.3 EC feed at 6.0 pH for the past week, tomorrow they'll just be getting pH'ed water to finish em out. May pull the love stash earlier, depends what the trichomes do.

Decided to try using the loupe for some macro shots. A bit janky of an experience, but it produced well enough.

Fŕosty ladies coste. The love stash looks extra nice. what is the nose like on her?

Thank you sir, it's really all them lol I fucked this round up in quite a few ways. She was the one that I was super stoked for initially, aside from the BMS I'm running for the 420 showcase, then she threw nanners about week three of flower. Pulled what I could, and she hasn't thrown any more, and her sister never exhibited the same trait.

She's kinda earthy with a funk in there, like a fat person that hasn't showered -- you know that kinda sour shit smell? It's subtle though. And sweet, like candy-ish with a bit of pepper.

It's hard to tell for sure though, my sinuses are fucked from all the smoke that's now finding its way into my house. I'll have my girl do full detailed smell reviews at chop, as my olfactory sense isn't great even on clear days.

Chop day came for two of the ladies today. 65 days flower. Would've liked to go a bit longer, but life is too busy right now to be tending to them as well as I could've, and they got a little too dry overnight. So, I made the call.

Both have a decent amount of cloudy trichs with some amber, so the stone should be decent. Now I gotta get more beans wet, get some more lights ordered, get the hydro system built, and plan the next round to correct a large number of persistent fuckups from this round.

Two more ladies are still in the tent, and we still got the outdoor girl that's fightin like hell through this smoke. Final numbers aren't going to be impressive this round, but, for a first run in several years, I'd say it's alright. Learned the system, have some tweaks to implement, and next round will be much better.

Everything's officially chopped and hanging. I don't even want to think about the final numbers at this point, it's going to be beyond disappointing. Whatever, first run in five years, at least I made it to harvest, right? On to more positive things.

Dropped enough seeds in water to supply the next couple rounds of flower, and have plans for this weekend to prep. But first, the lineup for next round:

0/3 Bangtin Mas (Prayer Pupil F2 X Aculpulco Gold)
0/4 Tangie 99
0/4 Cali Hemp
0/4 Bottle Wine
0/4 Love Stash F2
0/4 Blackberry Moonshine BX1
0/5 Nothing F1

Next round is going to be a serious pheno hunt. Of what's being started, only a few will be kept as mothers. Everything will be grown out, and a selection of the best will be flowered. Depending on the results, most males will be culled. I'm hunting for keepers this round, and have designed a closet system to facilitate mother keeping and cloning. This will be the round one of moving towards perpetual, and eventual scaling.

Now for the plans for the weekend. I'll be finalizing the two dutch bucket system in the tent, getting the reservoir piped, all that jazz. Finally have all the parts to actually get it running, so now it's do-it-to-it time. Debating picking up some gutters to run an NFT channel in conjunction with the dutch buckets, but not settled on that yet.

I'd really like some insurance with coco if shit really goes south with the dutch buckets, but that's just more money to be spent.

I'll be reconfiguring the lighting, as I had a bit of an epiphany and ordered another set of qb boards. That'll put me at 480w qb, and I'll continue to run one of the blurples to kick total wattage up to around 650w, give or take. Will definitely be doing a scrog to ensure better canopy control.

This next round we're getting serious. This first run was amateur hour, time to step it up and actually recoup some of the cost of production, gotdammit.

Fire lineup. I want to see all of these ladies. I like the sound of the putang cross too. :D(y)

I'm kinda kicking myself for getting impatient last night. 28 seeds are now in rockwool, and none of them are from today's care package. We'll see what germinates. Worst case, I'll fill the gaps with some of these new beans. Gonna be a packed stable for a while!

But, that's what is required for a solid pheno hunt
