decarboxylation machines

I have both MBE2 and Ardent FX with concentrate sleeve. I didnt think the MBE2 did a decarb, as I had to decarb prior to making oils. I think their decarb is like a plastic sandwich box thingy called decarb box if I recall correctly. Ardent FX is a decarboxylator, and infuser, among many other things, and has become the go to device for me. @OldG uses it quite extensively also, and has mucho experience.

I also use and love the Ardent FX. It decarbs and infuses perfectly every time.
I have an original Levo that now sits idle as I use the FX for everything.

My FX is an upgrade from the original Ardent which I sold off for a good price. There is simply no comparison between decarbing in the oven and the FX.
Ovens will vary the temps constantly to try and keep the set temperature and that seems to affect the quality.

Without going into detail; I have begun testing a potential competitor to the Ardent(s) and their prototype has many more features and worked just fine.
The vendor knows that I own the Ardent and wanted a true comparison.
Here are the results of both the decarb and oil infusion with the prototype.
I used 2 yr old GDP since I have been liking the effects of more CBN for night.

Disclaimer: I will get the 1st production unit for FREE!

I agree. I gave my ardent away because my only machine for edibles is the FX.

Can you make it in a slow cooker? Sure you can.

But the FX is 100% the best transfer possible for 4 oz (you have to be hulk on it but it fits). it makes edible oil with a button push then you can bake a brownie i guess but i put 4 oz into 20 oz of coconut oil.

How small are you going to cut the little buggers !

:D

It is a fantastic machine and the magical butter machine gathers dust since i got the small one.

And it makes the oil that makes my gummies. And they are pretty magical.

LMAO..One advantage of being old..The accumulation of toys!

No promises, but if they make one, I will attempt to get a group discount for the members here.

In all seriousness, note the color in the second picture above ..and this is a shot of the weed decarbed in the Original Ardent.

I recall bringing up this subject around 15 years ago on the Forums while getting laughed at as few people then really knew much of anything about decarboxylation in general other than wet weed sucks!

Back then I was (still am) looking for the "Decarboxylater" a product sold back in the 80's through High Crimes Magazine!? It was a small battery powered device that evenly dried out a sample of one's stash. More or less a portable weed toaster and possible predecessor to the early vaporizers.

Anyways it was something I saw back then as a young boy. In this heyday of my childhood my old man had a bedroom he kept filled with kilos of Cannabis as I heard them called along with the poundage he and my mom sold in bulk throughout many years. Long story short I have pretty fond memories of some gorgeous ladies including my mom drying sheet trays of imported weed in our oven , weed that was pretty much worthless to smoke unless absolutely bone dry and decarboxylated. They would bake brownies with all of the scrap and shake while working sometimes days in order to fully dry out a shipment from the warehouse before the next was scheduled to be delivered.

It's funny as a boy I was pretty clueless to this all besides knowing that smoke, was smoke! But by the time I was a teenager I really put things together adding it all up. Yet I've never seen another of those Decarboxylation gadget's even though they're still around hidden in some closet's I'm sure. The more I think about it, I come to realize I haven't seen a brick of weed in over 20 years either lol..

You can also grind up the decarbed weed and stuff capsules with it.
For those needing stealth (as in at work)..these would be the shits.
I use these fancy two toned green caps...they cost the same on amazonia BUT i can tell the top from the bottom and see it.

I make 20 of those at a time and when i run out i make 20 more. I like to have them before bed they kick in when my trouble sleeping happens and float me through to the other side. They dont hit as fast as a tincture cap so its a nice latency for me.

a 00 cap holds 1/2 a gram of fine grind decarbed weed...well stuffed but not hulk stuffed (the big side of the cap)

They are covert as a ninja until you burp.....whys it smell like weed everywhere.

:D

Interesting idea.
Edibles are easy and convenient when made in advance.
I like to make a double batch of brownies with a full cup of ultra strength oil then freeze them in a block of three 6-packs.
Each brownie is individually wrapped and I've never had a problem with freezer burn.

Then again, I go through them pretty quick. :poop:
