Dispelling the myths and misconceptions

Those that know me, can tell you how much I love to dispell those herban myths and legends as well as the growers gospel song we still hear after decades of the internet and the text books lyrics!

If there's one big league player I had to choose from to endorse, it would be Nspecta of CSI for the fact that he's one of the best for cleaning up the house when people start posting lies and more lies even if they are just innocent people parroting online. I've always strived for the truth even if it's not what I want to hear.

With the above said, there's so little truth in it all. The more you learn from the plant and the rest of the honest people, the more you understand that just about everything found in books and online in general is half truth at best. It's the information highway and ours was jacked up from the start with a lot of nonsense and lies to make others famous and richer

So let's see what myths we can bust, as well as anything else taken as gospel. I can't even begin to list the subjects off hand, but it's an open floor and anything is debatable here for the benefit of the whole!

#1- Dj Short Blueberry- DJ didn't discover the Blueberry Terp let alone create anything else other than the Infamous Blueberry x with Thai.

Blueberry comes from the Afghanistan, not Thai and there's a reason why Phylos has Berry as one of the main profiles.

Nothing against DJ, I've grown plenty of his gear back in the day and then some. From that BB to his Flo as well. In no way do I have a vendetta against him or a grudge, but I do have to say Blueberry wasn't discovered by him in any way.

#2 Being from Michigan I know that Pinconning Paralyzer story all to well and the rest of the myths about it like Meyers using deer meat for the enzymes to start seeds? Having known old timers from the region that knew Larry well, it's obsurd to think this would work. Rotten meat equals rotten seeds.

Is that Pinconning Paralyzer still around? Yes and no, Myers selection was taken with the semi trailer and highcrimes magazine just wanted another storyline for the sales and revenue.

Many of us have combed through the last of the remnants of the Pinconning Paralyzer for over twenty years and there's a reason why you don't see it. Has nothing to do with hoarding, just not what Myer's held in conclusion and it is a legend that will never be revived due to what was confiscated!

#3 Let's go with the neverending story of the Flush! We all know what this one is about and how many people reside on one side of the fence.

Let's look back in time, before the competitions between authors and grow guides. You won't find mention of flushing in the old text book in general. From the understanding I have it began with the Dutch and obnoxious greenhouse fertilizers. If you know what I am talking about, you know just how loud smelling those chemical fertilizers are. The Dutch pushed the Cannabis like they're known for with their Tulips. With these industrial fertilizers there's really a reason to flush the exces out of the pot, not the plant as it's impossible to truly flush the inside of a heavy metal feeder to begin with let alone any other living plant.

Long story short, I have grown tobacco for over 13 years and not just one variety. Working in the fields you can observe it all from start to finish. Let me say that there's no magic hose in the fields let alone the desire to choke out the plants at the finish line.

A vast majority of the tobacco in both Canadian and American cigarette tobacco is the virginian type known as the flue cured variety found/ discovered by a slave in the 1800s. This odd plant and his mistake during the drying process led to the flu curing where heat and humidity is used to trap the sugars within the tobacco leaf. If tobacco is flushed like the weed gospel instructs, there's really one thing being transported to the roots by potassium and this is sugar. Without the sugars tobacco leaf is rather harsh and not nice in cigarettes. And just like with the weed, an absence of potassium will be the worst case as it will rendure the flowers into coal once one attempts to smoke it due to the fact that potassium is what feeds the internal combustion when everything is said and done smoked. I don't like carbon leftovers myself!

Without getting into the debate, I don't like that theory thing, application is everything. Experience speaks louder than words ever could to be blunt. And just like the cigarette tobacco, that blunt leaf wasn't flushed either. Tobacco fades naturally like cannabis due to the senescence switch. Once it's switched there's no reviving a dying plant that will never photosynthesize again.

So I think I have said enough in regards to this myth while giving a little more insight for the followers caught up in the smoke and possible bad burning herb.
