There should be zero coating in your mouth. China bho slabs (cough cough pine resin) leaves that crap 8n your mouth.

I run a short path for distillate almost every week.

Not at this time. I flower between 8-14 strains every run (plus testers). The terps would be a mix of all strains. Let me tell you how reached it smells. Picture 8am Sunday church with 50 old ladies all with different perfumes stinking up the room. That's what it smells like. I accidentally spilled the rbf of heads on my hand while disposing of the heads. It FN reaked. Nothing would rid the odor for almost 2 weeks. I tried straight iso, 200 proof ethanol, acetone, simple green, dawn. No bueno.

From what I understand you have to do the extraction at -20f to -40 to be able to keep the terps. So what do the carts taste like? Do you use the added terps?

-20c to -40c is your target temp (ethanol wash) to lessen or even rid completely the lipids and waxes you often get when washing biomass (cbd, cbg, thc). This skips a step (winterization) when washing at those temps. Heat degrades terps. The terps get separated/fractional off when in the short path at certain temps and vacuum depth.

Heads - residual solvents, water, terpenes

Main - (body) distillate you want

Tails - end of run, low grade tcc %

You want sub 100 micron when doing a spd run. I like sub 25 micron for my runs. A harbor freight vacuum pump isn't gonna cut it. Alcatel 2021i, edwards 30, and a few others. For a rotovape a diaphragm pump is ideal. Or the faucet vacuum pump can work on a 2l rotovap.

Dry Sage + epsom salt.
Keep scrubbing until you have a new layer of skin. ?

Sounds like I'll be able to learn some things from you. The land owner where I live just retired and is gonna set up a distillation station for making personal meds. He's tied into the bankruptcy auctions in CA and picked up everything he needs to get going. He got a pump and something else for doing the fractional distillation. I'm excited to learn something new.

Glad to help. Here's a few pics. The 3rd to last pic is the color of my ethanol biomass wash that goes into the rotovap for solvent recovery. Liquid gold. Zero lipids/waxes. Skips the winterization step.

That's a proper set-up. Great timing, the lab is going up in the next couple of weeks and I know he's gonna have some questions. Appreciate the help.
