Well there's a nice New Year's surprise!

Good to see you brother!
Are you still dry? If so how much longer until you can indulge?
I get to sneak a puff on long holidays. So I got to puff a couple rips couple days before Thanksgiving and again a couple days before Christmas.

I still got a little bit left of my last quarter of walking corpse that I grew end of 2022, lol.

Hey hey.

I'm doing well. I had to get my CDL for a promotion at work so haven't been able to smoke since Oct of 2022. That's why I'm not on the forum much. Too much of a temptation 😆

I hope everyone is doing good and Happy New Year and a late merry Christmas!

Cheers everyone
Glad to see your alive and well buddy 👊. Was beginning to wonder if the COVID finished you off, glad it's just work lol.

Yo Eso, good to see you’re still around and well. I see you went ahead with your CDL, welcome to the dark side 😂 I’ve had mine for almost 10 years now and at first was hella straight and had to quit puffing but a toke here and there couldn’t be resisted. I just wait for holidays or vacation and after a random is usually a safe bet as well.
Take care man.

Is CDL a commercial driver's license? (guessing from context)
Does that mean you can be randomed anytime?

(I'm feeling PTSD-ish just thinking about that shit)
You got it! Sucks a big one and yes, random at any time. It’s federal mandate so it supersedes state laws and is absolute nonsense. It’s a requirement for my job otherwise I wouldn’t have one but I have to pay the bills and hopefully retire someday.
Apologies for the rant😂

That still will have no affect on a CDL. CDL’s are federally regulated.
I know a lot of businesses quit testing for THC after it went legal. I have some friends that work for an elevator company and I never applied because of the drug testing. Once the state went legal for rec use, all my friends are blazing it up! Lol. I asked one of them about it and he said the company quit testing because it’s legal now. They just ask that you’re not high on their time, which makes sense and is respectful.

That is correct. All of the above, just a different legal state for me but because of the license I’m screwed. All good, I still grow the hell out of it.

Good to have you back! I grew some Walking Corpse recently and it blew me away. Fire fire well done sir
At my work I was going to get my dot physical so I could drive the box trucks... until I learned about the drug test. It's a bummer. But you have to do what you have to do.
Good to have you back, although I'm relatively new here

I get it.

One of the many reasons I walked away from the trades was piss-testing.
Randoms, for-cause-testing, and many other arbitrary applications of the various "safety" rules were used to control the workers and get rid of any that dared question the almighty bosses. Not to mention the security guards, and safety reps, who might decide to end your career for any old bullshit , or for no reason at all.

I wasn't kidding about the PTSD. I still have an involuntary shudder go through me every time I pass the exit to Fort McMurray.

Isn't the point of an elevator literally to go higher ?
A lot of jobs here in Oregon have stopped testing for thc. Just waiting for the federal government to do the same but I doubt that'll happen any time soon unfortunately.
You never know; Back in the 80s in Detroit, Weed was a massive amount of time. In like the mid to late 2010s though, they stopped caring pretty much entirely.
