Extended dark period

I have an unexpected trip coming up and I need to leave my garden unattended for 3 days. I was thinking about turning off all the lights and leaving them in darkness. Will this be detrimental to vegging mothers?

You might return to see bright yellow top growth, from what i remember the last time I did it, but they shouldn't suffer too much.
You could possibly trigger flowering in some eager plants, which won't be a problem if you plan on them continuing to veg for a good few weeks afterward...
But if you plan to flower them within a couple to few weeks after you get back, they may try to start flowering, then reveg back for some weird spindly growth, then try to veg normal again, and you could end up with funky looking, slightly stringy, airier than normal buds. Still not a biggie if it's all personal use, but just a couple things to consider.

Never have I attempted this on purpose, years in the past when I was young dumb and full of come, we went to the beach for the weekend our cheap timer failed and left the whole room dark two and a half days with no setbacks at all they were in early vegetation perhaps four weeks old.
