F@&$ Crypto

I’ve been in stocks since 2016, crypto is a gamble and atleast stocks have a product or business that gives it some value. Bitcoin and doge had nice rides and will probably continue. Maybe not at the same pace. I almost got doge when it was half a penny but was frustrated with the transfer to Kraken.
My advice is to find a stock you personally like and interested in. Buy on dips and bad news days (terrorists, shootings, bad employment numbers, etc). Watch for patterns and sell on swings and try to rebuy back where you originally did, don’t get emotional and keep adding. I just had the biggest week ever on my main stock Cara. Good luck whatever you choose.
After this horrendous week with bullshit crypto, I'm looking at the stock market.

Between shit customer service that either doesn't read what you sent them or just doesn't respond, holds on your assets for no reason, RETARDED fees on purchases/sales/conversions/moves, scam callers that I'm ready to hire hitmen to deal with, all topped off with the potential of hackers and on and on....yeah the stock market has never looked so good to me.

Well, you know what they say... bg,f8f8f8-flat,750x,075,f-pad,750x1000,f8f8f8.jpg

I didn't have time to read more than the first few posts and honestly didn't feel like reading more after that. All I am going to say is Crypto assets such as Bitcoin, Etherium, etc. are not a scam and are sound, long term investments. (top ranked crypto assets) I'm not here to debate. I've been actively in crypto since 2017 and I understand the market and market cycles. It's not too late long term. We are in a bull market so it will seem like it's easy to pick 'winners.' Trade responsibly because historically the bull market should end this year as we start to enter the bear market Q4 of this year, to Q1 of 2022. I've day traded, swing traded, and have long term holdings I never plan to sell. There is no other asset class that has outperformed bitcoin in its 10 years of existence. (averaging 200% gains a year over the last 10 years) Take my opinion for what it's worth. I have plenty of skin in the game with over 6 figures in my crypto portfolios. As always, don't invest more than you're willing to lose. Don't invest your mortgage. But I'd certainly invest anything extra you have laying around that you can afford to let mature over 5, 10, 20 years. You will not lose on those long term investments if investing into the top 2 crypto assets Bitcoin and Etherium if you can honestly hold them for that long.

Question:
Is it too late for bitcoin?

My answer:
How does a $60K bitcoin price look when its trading for $150k, $500K, $1M in the next 5-10 years? I bet when that time comes, if you never bought any, you'd wish you bought in at $60k.

Lastly, even though I didn't actually start investing until 2017, I was aware of bitcoin in 2010 and followed it through the years. I was skeptical in the beginning too and it took me that long to finally be sold on it and understand it. While I obviously wish like everyone else, I bought in sooner, we are still early. For what it's worth, I continue to buy bitcoin every month even at these prices and will continue to do so. Whether it's a bull or bear market, it doesn't matter. I see the bigger picture and long term valuation 10+ years out.
Glad it's worked out for you

Got a good stock app you suggest?
TD Ameritrade or Fidelity are the ones I like the most. I mostly use TD these days, there's a bit of a learning curve to the interface but they have the best research/education tools imo. Plus they have my IRA so I only have to look at one screen for everything there. Just avoid the trendy ones like Robinhood. I've heard WeBull is the best for day trading but I don't mess with that shit, my life is stressful enough as it is just running a business

Big question, do they have push notifications and if so, do they actually work?
That's another thing about Coinbase that's absolutely pissing me off.
Not being notified for shit about any major dips or surges.

They definitely have them and you can set them up for different price type parameters, but I can't attest to how well they work, I don't really use the. The way I trade push notifications wouldn't be super helpful. I tend to pick a series of companies or ETFs that I like and believe in and then just slowly invest in them. Keep some cash on hand so when they dip I can buy more. But I just check my portfolio every morning over coffee and again around 3pm. I'm certainly no expert but I've found that you start to get a feel for when things will spike or dip and I don't invest frequently.

I had a significant surge, then a dip down to near my buy-in price, all while watering plants last night. Could have capitalized but missed it. It's happened a few times now and I haven't had a single notification. I don't want to day-trade necessarily and spend all day with it, I have too much shIt going on around the house lol, but major surges followed by a dip can be prime time to stack more coins or just buy in for more, cash out, swap for stable coins etc.
Now it's lingering down near my initial buy-in still and I've lost what gains I had in the last couple days. Frustrating.

And it seems to be the app. Lots of people say the same thing with CB.

And the other reason I would like notifications is I use Tasker for Android software, so I can intercept those notifications and make my phone do all sorts of shit depending on the data contained in them, including then querying and posting to APIs if I want.....long story short, meaning I can possibly have my phone do trading for me autonomously, with my own secure private app. (depending on the skill levels required for the specific API in question, still learning different languages)

My Android tablet runs my entire 5 tent medical grow using the same software combined with API calls, so I could do some pretty cool stuff if I just got my price alerts.

That's pretty dope. Wish I was better with that stuff/had the time to learn more about it. I could use some more automation in my life.

I'm pretty sure TDs notifications would work for you and I imagine they're pretty timely. They have people with real money using their app so I doubt their clientele would tolerate unreliable features.

I could go as complicated as I posted or just something as simple as an extra long buzz in my pocket or a really annoying siren alarm in a loop until I pick up the phone. It's actually an awesome app I ha e an entire ecosystem. I control my home theatre, my media centre, I can help track where I parked my car and have the phone guide me to it, TVs and amps go on when I come home off when I leave, I can call up and watch any movie or TV showon my server by name director studio cast year etc
Tasker is amazing. Right now I am activating my scam caller task because of these idiots that are calling me. It will tell me it's them, answer the call, turn the speakerphone on and that's it. I won't answer, nothing.....maybe listen for a while, blow a fart into the phone here or there. Maybe make it sound like a homicide is happening in the background lol! Enough times they'll give up

I will check your suggestions out, thanks!

I had a spam SMS task too.....I set it to answer, then immediately hang up the call then shoot them a text telling them to go fuck themselves and the SMS went in a loop. It would spam the number that called with 120 of the same SMS in 60 seconds.
I call it my Devil Spammer :D

Every time you exchange or sell a coin it's a taxable event just a heads up.. The info I posted earlier in the thread tells you how to avoid taxes just for wanting to add some more coin to your pile.

Yikes. Well that's one more notch in the "f$#& this" column I guess then. I'll give your info a look but this is becoming less and less appealing.

Edit : Canada the most highly taxed nation on the planet

Tbh I was thinking, idk if the taxes apply to you.. but I'm assuming they do because the government wants that mula wherever you are pretty much.

Just a quick little search and it seems it does. They don't consider it legal tender, don't back it like fiat currency but it seems they will tax us. But, it seems the actual legislation isn't in yet......so not exactly sure.

I'll dig some more.

But check out the video I posted.. there's ways to avoid the tax without doing anything crazy. But there is the matter of these exchanges freezing your account or whatever once you try to move from the exchanges that are monitoring your every move to the exchange that just lets you do your thing..
